And it was more fun than Destiny 2.
Like I honestly went into the game, played a game of crucible, laughed and smiled. But when I play D2 all I am is salty.
What happened?

1 ReplyI feel the change in ammo, smaller maps, and 4x4 is a large part of The problem. Shotgun and sniper are pretty useless in pvp at that change. I think the sword is op, it literally one shots anything, where a shotgun pointblank to the gut takes two hits. I've been trying the slug, but unlike real life it doesn't go more than 20 feet. Pvp is just fast fire rates now.

8 RepliesJust like every other part of Destiny 2, bungie has given a forced play style to the players. They threw in different looking things to make it feel like we are all unique, but in order to succeed there is only one way to win in anything. And it's their way. Destiny 1 vet that was a badass in pvp, that could go 2v1, 3v1, or even better without a super? Well, sorry buddy. It's all about that team shooting now. Nobody is allowed to be "great" anymore because simply, you cannot achieve the singular greatness that you once could in Destiny 1. The games a better looking, piece of shit. Yet we all still play it because we always hold onto hope that it'll change.

1 ReplyAs much as people complained about destiny 1 it was still an incredible game.
-
1 ReplyD1 is killing D2. Its like you said...way more fun!
-
2 RepliesYou are suffering from "new game syndrome" where you think you will win every game and do everything perfect just because it's a new game and you think you know all there is to know about said game. Adapt or die; learn to play the game so it doesn't play you.

70 RepliesEdited by XAMANDER: 10/2/2017 3:47:57 PMLaughted and smiled after your cheap easy kills in D1. What happened? Bungie took away your crutch weapons and spamming abilities/supers and forced you to actually use your brains and have a decent amount of skill to succeed. Edit: Lol.......Look at all these salty responses. HaHaHaHaHa. Whaaa...Bungie i suck at gunplay give me back my supers and grenades so i don't even have to try. Whaaa! Whaaaa! Whaaaa!

1 ReplyI let my friend who has not played D1 but is currently playing D2 play as my Titan on D1 and he said "what the hell?... like... this isn't even the same game. Your dude goes so much faster. And you can have a shotgun and a sword equipped? And you get supers and grenades that quick? Now I'm gonna be salty whenever I play the second one"

3 RepliesLet's not forget D1 Custom Games

2 RepliesDont miss D1 at all really, enjoying D2.

1 ReplyEdited by KannibalKlown: 10/2/2017 8:31:09 PMI like randomized loot perks (NOT rerolling... see below) I like the strikes more in Destiny 1... but that's not saying much. I like the gear style and variety in Destiny 1 more, but that's over the course of several DLCs I like the exotics in D1 more... they were more exotic and more rare Vault is bigger (gear, not raid) Vault of Glass will always be my favorite Raid. But haven't raided in D2 yet so I can't really say if I dislike D2 raid. I like the story theme / POTENTIAL in D1 (sadly they failed in implementation) ------- I like no more god-re-rolling in D2. Made balance impossible I like the Public Events in D2 more... they're finally relevant I like the planetscapes in D2 more... I like Crucible slightly more in D2... no shotgun corner campers or OHK homing missile grenades I like that we can style our weapons in D2. A minor thing but I really hated the Vanguard styling in D1 I like integrated Public Events within the map in D2 Vault finally sorts I like the story DELIVERY and IMPLEMENTATION in D2 more

What happened?
The same thing that happened when TTK dropped. The same who complained incessantly about how bad Y1 was then went on to one for the glory days of Y1. And the same people, yes, even you Hammond, complained about bad Y3 Crucible was, now get enjoyment from it. This is why companies are slow to react to complaints. It's not as bad as you think.

well 4 dlc's happened

6 RepliesI always love these D1 to D2 comparison threads and how horribly misinformed the people posting them appear to be. I also love the people who are about to tell me how wrong I am and just how misinformed they are as well.
-
I played Destiny 1 a week into D2 for nostalgia... turned it off and uninstalled an hour later. I have a lot of Destiny 1 nostalgia... but for me. D2 just plays better in every way.
-
Same. I had a blast playing D1 again. Idk wtf happened
-
1 ReplyDon’t know what y’all are on about. D2 is just as fun as D1. Too each his own.

1 ReplyD2 doesn't have the "fun" modes of Crucible. Where's my Mayhem Clash?
-
6 RepliesDamn I miss my luna
-
4 RepliesI really miss the last word
-
5 Repliesand yet when Destiny 1 was the only version all this forum was filled with was threads boo hooing about how broken and garbage pvp was. A theme developing I think. All the re-writing of history on these forums is comical.
-
1 ReplySay all you want but i freaking loved the last word meta It was fast and chaotic asf. Still used the last word in y3 when it was nerfed to shit Now we get this slow mida teamshotting bs
-
8 RepliesYeah, D1 Crucible was way more enjoyable. Especially in the early to mid point of D1. I absolutely loved the Thorn/Suros/Red Death meta. That was the most fun I've ever had in Crucible. All those guns could counter each other and it was great fun.
-
Same If only D1 wasn't infested with SBMM, questionable balance (golden gun nerfs for example) and rumble had fireteam enabled
-
Destiny 1 Crucible was way more fun. I actually go back and play it quite a bit.
-
1 ReplyD2 isn't necessarily worse or better than D1, there basically just two different games.
