My only problem with a rolling launch is the unfair advantage that this gives to people that gets to play the game first, in terms of being raid ready next week. People that are already playing, will have more time to get to the highest level possible and will have more time to grind legendary shards to buy stuff from Xur. People that will be attempting world first completion of the raid have every right to be upset.

 • I don't care about this but I do care about the raid getting released early in Aus, they will have an edge in world first cuz get the raid early...source Gamespot...

 • Yeah but it makes more sense on a daily basis. If they made it a fixed American based midnight launch then people in time zones before that would have to play way after midnight and probably can't stay on as long. Like this the only way someone in Australia gets a time advantage is if they don't sleep at all and put in like 24+ hours from launch as opposed to someone from America doing just a couple of hours after launch. It's all just down to how many hours you yourself at capable of putting in after midnight in your own timezone which I think is perfectly fair.

 • I get your point but take US for example. People on the east coast will get the game at midnight. That leaves maybe 2-3 hrs at most for people with work/ school schedules to actually play before going to bed. Meanwhile the west coast gets the game at 9pm. That leaves them with 4-6 hrs. of playtime before going to bed. For the hardcore gamer, those 3 hrs. of extra playtime it's a game changer. Like i said in another reply, this doesn't not affect me. I'm not going to attempt world first. Hell, i'll be lucky if i get a chance to play thanks to Hurricane Irma but, this could upset people that will be on the race for world first raid completion and i sympathize.

 • Yeah the fact it's making a region as large as the US as a single launch time does give the west coast the best amount of time to get on but thats a US region thing only really. For a global launch this is probably the most fair method and it also helps keep server load down and only build up gradually which I know won't stop all day one issues but should help reduce a lot at the very least.

 • Lol it makes no difference! Normal mode raid releases first. So its going to get you to maybe 280 then prestige gets you the last 20. Ignore the youtube hype nonsense you will not be left at 260 while all the early raiders hit 300 in week 2.

 • I never said that they will be max light. What i meant to say is that they will be in a more optimal power level when normal mode raid comes out as they will have more time to grind and get ready. In that aspect, it DOES make a difference.
