Xbox Release Date being FIXED
Just spoke to a very nice Microsoft Support Rep and got this, I've put all the important parts in bold:

My game still hasn't been fixed, it continuously says that D2 is available on the 19th and that I need to wait. At this point I'm basically boiling with rage that literally nothing I do will fix this problem.

I tried getting on when it was released yesterday but it kept saying I was "too early to play" meaning I wasn't able to access the game until 6-20-17. I waited on hold for an hour to talk to customer support and he said that launch edition will be available on the 19th and if I wanted to play right away I should have gotten the deluxe edition.... he even laughed at me when I tried explaining the situation to him. Eventually I got a refund for my launch edition and coughed up the extra money for the deluxe. Then had to completely reinstall the game. as of 7a.m. this morning it was only at 41% for -blam!-s sake the communication here on all aspects is laughable and very irritating

Literally had the same issue about it last night. I live in Italy and I moved from the US and I wasn't able to access the game whatsoever last night. The guy was trying to help me to the best of his abilities but was unsuccessful. Today, I contacted the support and asked them what happened last night and why I was unable to play it and they told me it was because of Bungie. Are the players that were affected on the situation going to get something in return? Little annoying being told you're allowed to play on the 6th at 12 AM and not get it.

Cannot load game. Still says the 20th for me. Tried buying two Xboxes and two copies of collectors edition. Still nothing.

Just thought I would report back since it is after midnight. I bought the digital launch edition from the Xbox market place. My base game said available 9/19/17. I can confirm that I was able to log in and play with no problems.

If someone bumps this I'll reply/edit when the moment of truth arrives. Edit post launch: Forum went down for a bit. Mine worked fine at launch time. It's the digital deluxe edition. Support did have me remove my account from the console and re download it. Don't think that did much but might help if anyone still has issues.

Digital release still not working in Germany for those of us who bought it with USD. I know Xbox/bungie can figure out our location, but because my console was bought on base it still says 0600 local for me. Looks like I won't be able to play til after work tomorrow. Thanks alot bungie/microshaft... Good luck to everyone else.

7 RepliesOk, so for those who are concerned still about this.. I think Iv got the understanding of what the issue is, or what bungie assumes the issue is. For those who are unable to play in the areas where the game has been released, they are assuming that these people are not able to play yet, because they paid with a method not of that region.. So for example, if you are in Australia and you pay with an American card, you have to wait for the game to be released in the US before you can play, even if you are in Australia where the game has been released. So the issue is payment region based, not the date. The date is an error and should hold no baring on when the game is truly released.

Just left the house, mines still says 9/20 but someone responded to me earlier that you can delete and reinstall. Not sure if it works, I haven't tried. But this is good info. I'm gonna ride it out until release. If it doesn't work then I'm giving my son a XBOX and dusting off my PS4(LOL).
