Players leaving matches early is an epidemic now!
99.9 % of all my games atleast 1 player leaves the match. Either my team or enemy team. This is not an exaggeration. A simple fix would be: Any player that leaves the match early gets a 5:00 or 10:00 deserter penalty where they can't Q up for a match. This will also cut down on players gettin sent into matches already in progress. I hope they implement this is D2.

Destiny 2 connection will be better (devs said...not sure if they are trustworthy lol)
If one player leaves a 4v4...the other team will wreck and it will snowball fast.
It's just 5:00 min...a lot of players said they have real life stuff come up and they have to leave. Well 5:00 deserter penalty will prob be gone by time you get back.
It will help solo players not getting put into matches already in progress

There is a option to leave match, ask Bungie to remove it or gtf over it. Or maybe your internet connection sucks and no one wants to play with you. Solo player for three years and uneven matches have never been a problem for me. I think the only folks who worry about the crap you're speaking of tend to run a little on the cold side of the thermostats and shed tears that look like ❄️.

19 RepliesIt's always been like this. Either you're not that observant or just ignored it because you were on the winning side. The only fix is to make individual awards better based on performance, whether you win or lose.

Yep I kept getting connected to one crucible match after another that was halfway into. I don't blame the people that left though. Each one I went into had terrible lag and red bars galore. I'd finish the match and tried to find another solid bar lobby. Gave up.

It always been a issue nothing new. Few times I read Articles Bungie ban trials players for quitting in matchmaking occurred during year 1 (post HOW) and year 2

A quitting early punishnent should be put in place though. It would stop me from leaving early but question is what would the penalty be? I do like the OP idea of a time out

We leave the match because of the lag switchers. If I have a bounty I might stay but otherwise if they are lagging I am gone

People leave matches because pvp is a total shitfest of lag now...the connections are an absolute fckn disgtace with red bar warriors ruling almost every match. The best thing they can do is just switch off this sorry excuse of a game,it has had its day and is now finished...please dont insult my intelligence by questioning my internet or its set up.

Always has been. Usually it's an AFKer. I'd prefer they just leave immediately. Two man fireteam is the new 3 man fireteam, at least with matchmaking. I still want to see match making for Nightfall, regardless. I mean, at least give it a go.

3 RepliesHow do you know they're not getting booted to orbit for connection issues? It happens to me at least once per session.... But only on destiny. Every other game has connections that are just fine If I got booted and then prevented from joining a game because bungie/Activision is too short sighted to invest in actual servers I would never buy another game from either company

I'll believe that connection line when I see it. Bungie did server maintenance yesterday and when they finished, 4 hours later everyone starts getting booted left and right and severs are unavailable. It's gotten to the point where green bars are teleporting and not taking damage. How is anyone supposed to take them seriously. It's like getting a new job and putting in your 2 weeks notice and just going to the bathroom to jerk off for the last 2 weeks at your current job to a picture of your future one.

I say make it 10 minutes. If your internet drops, 10 minutes is more than enough time to reset everything. If it's in Destiny's end, then I'm sure many will stop playing.

3 RepliesCan't work unless they have dedicated servers. P2P connections have too many variables, and you can get kicked for no fault of your own due to DDoS, connection issues caused by red-bars, other various animal codes, etc. Due to the piss poor matchmaking I'm not ashamed to say I leave matches all the time due to excessive laggers in the game, joining games late when they're almost over, or when they completely screw up the skill balance between teams which is often. I'm here for fun, not competition. Win or lose doesn't matter, all I want is a fair fight.
