Are you seriously bringing back old weapons and armour?
So in the latest trailer we seen Starfire Protocol, Takeanaught and potentially a hawksaw and others.
This CANNOT happen. It's just can't, you cannot justify it at all.
If this is a decision that had been made. REVERSE IT NOW!

2 RepliesWho said the perks those items had were coming forth? Hawksaw could just be another pulse option? Star fire protocol has such a basic exotic perk does it even matter if it does? Homestly really think about what you're getting upset here. Not like everything was destroyed (armour and weapons) I don't doubt for a second guns like suros regime and sleeper simulant could also come forward.

Uh oh....the tower is destroyed...all exotics on earth are destroyed....all the exotic schematics are destroyed...oh and everyone who knew how to make exotics are all dead....so how can they bring back any exotics???? 😉

You were one of the people that wanted your gear from Destiny 1 to be carried over, and whined after you learned that only your character's looks and class would carry over. Now this. I guess it's all or nothing when it comes to that? Check out my post...

its really annoying me now its just coming out as a big destiny 1 dlc, wasnt all the loot destroyed as they said but they bringing old crap back to the game its already to sim to destiny 1 remade supers and now remade gear are they actually doing anything new in this other than lost sectors

5 RepliesExotic-Wise for specific items, it could make sense. Considering that if it was crafted via Blueprints (Not saying GjallarCock should be returning), it makes sense from a lore pov. But if it was an Exotic that was just "Found" or "Taken off a dead guy", then no. Taikonaut falls into that category, idk about Starfire.

They remake the entire armor/weapons system and use that as justification for leaving everything behind - and created a semi-plausible lore-related reason for doing so. And then they're going to bring back some pieces of our old gear? I'm sorry, but we shouldn't have to regrind for things we already HAVE. That is one thing that drove veterans of this game absolutely INSANE. I was a proponent for having everything we had carry forward. But given that they made the decision to leave everything behind, it would just be completely insulting for them to bring it back so we can regrind for it again. Dumb move. DUMB MOVE.

Two comments. 1. I'm willing to wager the number of people who care is unsubstantial. Can't imagine any destiny one veteran would be suprised by bungie reusing assets. That's their whole deal. 2 . You're right though, their whole justification for this lazy ass equipment wipe was that the tower was trashed with all our stuff in it. Except for all the stuff that survived apparently. Make up your damn mind Bungie.

3 RepliesThis is just a silly post. Our vault gets destroyed, not the npcs that "make" the weapons and armor. Of course there will be similar looking stuff. We rebuild. The perks and stats will be different because of the new system in place though. So while it might be Hawksaw or Starfire.... it will be different.

I've never seen 80% of the Weaponry or Armour in Destiny (from beta/vanilla through to TTK, on 360) and currently playing through Destiny again on PS4 My RNG luck is appalling 10 Thunderlords in a row on 360 6 P&T And Hunter/Warlock gear for my Titan

If you were the minority who did not want D1 items in D1, then I am sorry, but a business cannot just please the minority of its customers.
