Although he's not a major character in the game, Variks has been my favorite character ever since he was first introduced. I'm just wondering if he will even make an appearance in Destiny 2. Thoughts?

1 ReplyVariks the loyal? More like Variks the kellmaker. Last I heard he sent those awoken bird spies all over the system chasing a fallen myth, the Kell of Kells, didn't you guardians kill one of those last year?
-
2 RepliesI wouldn't worry about him. He's a survivor, that one. He'll probably turn up at some point in Costa Rica with a suntan, four mysteriously regrown arms, a hot Fallen chick on each of said arms (well, we can only assume they're hot, since we aren't into that sort of thing ourselves), and a fancy new Fallen-themed exotic that will make those who pick it up unstoppable in Crucible until the nerf-police show up.

3 RepliesEdited by Quiet_Bushi: 8/8/2017 8:06:37 AMYep, likely we'll see him again, it's very probable. First of all, I don't see why Bungie should bounce him out like it did with the Exo Stranger. Variks had more then one role during Destiny events, he is a beloved character by the Community and he is connected with other important characters like the Queen, her so-nice-and-sweet Brother, Petra, the Reef, the Awokens, maybe even Osiris for what we know. He knows a lot of things, and on Nexus in D2 we'll meet the Fallen again. I think that if we'll need informations, Variks we'll be the first to contact. Secondly, according to a Grimoire Card the Queen's Brother is now trying to raise an Army with the Fallen, presumebly with the Kell of the House of the Kings, the last one remained on earth. It could actually means nothing, but I guess that somehow we'll see also Variks in this scenario. Last but not least, House Judgment's motto is: "House Judgement must survive" and Variks is the last living member of this House. Also -very intriguing- according to Petra, Variks could be the legendary Kell of Kells... Yep, I guess that we'll see him again =)

1 ReplyHe's hanging out and drinking tea with SKYLOK THE DEFILED! and KEKSIS!.

Probably joins the cabal or something.

Variks is destined to rot in D1 hell.

Edited by WiErDScIeNcE11: 8/10/2017 2:33:57 PMI believe if That he will try to find The queens brother and try to unite the fallen, think about it, the crow is the Kell of the Kings trying to get back at the world for killing his sister. He's still respected by Variks and if anything slowly unit the fallen once more.

1 ReplyPeople actually like him? He put mines in his arena ffs! We go in there to kill his problem and he's constantly trying to kill us. Back stabbing rat is what he is
-
He will be back. I like having some arena fighting available. I hope it returns.
-
1 ReplyHe is probably the true kell of kells and either try to kill us or bring peace between the fallen and the guardians
-
5 RepliesThe graveyard. He sounds like an autistic kid.
-
Judging by all the creepy things he says probably Sex Offender Registration class?
-
3 RepliesHe probably will be in the next fallen expansion or when the queen comes back
-
1 ReplyHe'll survive and thrive in way way or another. He's been through shit before and comes out winning
-
2 RepliesI want a better POE in Destiny 2.
-
2 RepliesAgreed, my favorite guy too, gave me my first 335 weapons back then, really good weapons.
-
I'm hoping he will. Variks is probably still tied in with Petra and the Awoken, and I would expect him to be curious or knowledgeable about what's going on with the D2 Fallen, so if there's any Awoken activity in D2 I would certainly expect Variks to show up
-
I think he's going to rally the rest of the fallen and their houses and fight for a common cause. It's still not clear if Mara Sov is alive but Prince Uldren. I believe in my opinion that the Fallen are going to be our allies.

. . . Yyeeeeeess

3 RepliesHe needs to widdle himself a ship and stop asking to see mine.
-
7 RepliesWhat is next for me??? For real though I think he will be the primary protagonist of the D2 Taken King-sized DLC, where he will reach his full potential and become the true Kell of Kells.
