You put up a good fight, but Activision announced that D2's preorders outnumber those of D1.

And.... I should give how many f##ks? Oh, right. None.

2 RepliesThis is a wallet. I have one, and there's a good chance that you do too. This wallet may look a lot like many others, but this one is yours. What you choose to do with your wallet is entirely up to you. Billy from Calculus can't decide that for you and neither can Batman_420 from some Internet forum. The monetary content within this wallet is an accumulation of all of the money YOU have made, thereby, the decision to make any transaction, for whatever purpose, is ultimately up to YOU. Never let anyone else use your wallet for you. (Unless it's the wife, don't upset your wife)

8 RepliesThat shows that they are a bunch of lying twats! No one is cancelling nothing.
You know it, I know it, everyone knows it
So Bernie still has a chance?

3 RepliesEdited by K1dP5ycho: 8/4/2017 1:21:15 PMJust a bit of clarity, for everyone making the "hurr, it's higher because of PC" argument. Destiny 1 came out on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. Destiny 2 will be coming out for PS4, Xbox One and PC. There is one less platform to launch on, meaning that presales could have been fewer than D1's. Instead, it is higher. Edit: Seems that people also disregard the fact that player migration does not actually affect pre-orders. XD God, people are thick.

5 Repliesdoes it really matter. Pre orders don't make the game any better

3 RepliesYou look cute today

Really? Lol
-
Yeah only thanks to pc. Fortunately they haven't experienced Destiny yet, they soon will though, oh yes lol
-
Yeah, fudged numbers like Hillary votes, roflmao Has an extra platform, and as others have stated, most the streamers etc. making cash off their channels have went out and bought all 3. Soooo as far as units sold, maybe; as far as same ammount of people? No fkin way. I pre ordered, right before beta, they got my bill for D2 and the 2 expansions I already paid for in D1. That's it though unless the crackerjack gang developed an actual brain, hearing, and morals. But we all know they are just a bunch of libtard so, so no change anticipated. I'm not judging the product completely til release, but history ALWAYS repeats itself, so why would I expect anything more then the same ole gang doing the same ole bs?

6 RepliesI find it hard to believe considering Destiny 1 had the legacy console numbers as well. Unless PC preorders are making up the numbers. In any case, it's not an enjoyable game. Destiny 2 is pretty weak.
-
5 RepliesWasn't fighting. Those who preordered D2, I have no issues with them. Those who chose not to, that's AOK. And those who cancelled preorders, so be it. I chose not to preorder at thus juncture because right now, Destiny 2 is not a product worthy of my money. That might change, either when I see patch notes indicating how it's been adjusted, or when I see gameplay. Others have tried the game and like it. Good for them. Bungie has made something they like, and Bungie will get money for it. I'm fine with that.

D2 for game of the year!!!

9 RepliesEdited by Thane: 8/4/2017 8:30:26 AMThe same Activision that said "the budget for Destiny alone was $500 million". Which got cleared up after the painfully small joke of a launch. -blam!- any/all of Activision's announcements. Waiting to see reviews. Not interested in paying $60 for entertainment without seeing a summary of its quality. -blam!-ing monkeys ....
-
Edited by FRYKILL: 8/4/2017 12:28:14 PMPre order numbers mean absolutely nothing. 40 million people could pre order and only 1,000 actually buy. The number that buy is what counts.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Saxifraga: 8/4/2017 8:25:20 AMThis number is pure speculation. It includes ALL the "preorder" packages sold to the retailers. We don't know how many have really been sold! Here in Germany tons of unsold "preorder" dvd cases are still on display. Activision publishes "expected" sales figures. They can be right, but expect them to be much lower.

7 RepliesIt's a shame. Preorders (game not system) are so bad for the consumer now. Physical retailers never run out of games. Online download stores can't run out of anything. Giving a company money prior to completion of goods rewards the company massively compared to the consumer. Release dates change. Content can change. You are locked into a price and place of purchase. It could be cheaper somewhere else, or you might no longer be near the place you preordered. You are putting a down payment on something that can change and would be available either way.
-
I haven't preordered so technically no loss. I just dont pre order full stop. I don't tend to buy in to the hype I take it for what it is, just a game and I'm pretty sure the world is not going to run out of copies launch day also I'm of the generation that likes a physical copy rather than a digital one. Same with music and movies.

Hey guys, I have 20 beta codes for whoever DMs me first.
How many of these threads did you see on this forum alone? How do you think they got those codes? Preorder then cancel at an online retailer such as Amazon. There's likely been a false "pop" in the numbers because of people gaming the system. Also pre orders don't equal purchases. Many people played the beta and already walked away. I'll be playing day 1, but guys need to quit jumping to conclusions.
-
11 RepliesI don't care how many people play it, but I do care how many people get bored of it after 2 weeks. Which is why I won't preorder and wait until reviews are out on what's there, not what is anticipated. Fool me once, kinda thing.

This made me pre order https://youtu.be/vXUstNeZkXk

24 RepliesYou can lead a thirsty horse to water, but you can't make the dumb m'effer drink. To everyone who pre-ordered:
I hope the disappointment consumes you.
20 RepliesEdited by mrbird33: 8/4/2017 9:02:55 AMAlso doesnt list how many were canceled after the demo... Nice try though
