Destiny 2 Beta Extended through Tuesday 7/25
The Destiny 2 Open Beta has been extended through Tuesday 7/25 for additional service testing. Expected completion is 6 PM PDT.
Expect service interruptions during more strenuous testing. Download the D2 Beta today before 5 PM Pacific to participate.
We will be doing a lot of testing during the extension like:
- What if we flip this switch?
- What if we unplug this cable that's labeled "Don't unplug this for any reason"?
- What happens if we spill a blue slushie on this important looking thing?
So things might get a little weird. Thanks!

That's good they extended the beta I could play a little bit more love the game can't wait for the whole game to come out

2 RepliesDear Bungie I've added more salt on the original destiny than most on these forms. Drop rates, taking away the sword glitch on totems, lack of content, everything from a to z. I personally think that the PvP is amazing on the beta!!! It played smoother. The Kills were Fair. PvP was fun for once. Keep up the good work.

I don't get why you wouldn't just bring the beta to an early close (if this is indeed an old build that no-one believes) then do another open beta, with a version closer to the release build, to actually showcase the best parts of the core PvE gameplay (since mostly people liked the PvP game). PR dept are going to have a meltdown trying to fix this one, but you only get one chance to make a first impression.

3 RepliesDid they significantly nerf snipers in PvE or is the headshot multiplier not appropriately applied? I was running the strike the other night and my headshots were registering 905 damage on the boss. For comparison, my friend's fusion rifle was critting for over 1000 per bolt. This seems a bit off, don't you think? Possible coding error?

I just sit in orbit to see if I get weasel a dozen times. Luckily not a darn thing happened. You should be testing the farm with us and the a.i. in it.

The scout rifle literally registers one in three bullets. This games connection is as bad as destiny 1 and I'm so glad I haven't paid for it

Why in crucible do my bullets randomly stop doing damage every now and then? I'll be on a killing spree and then the next guy I start shooting point blank with sub machine gun takes hardly any damage at all. It's really weird

Played it for about an hour on the 19th. I didn't feel like playing any longer which is uncharacteristic of me having played out 3 separate accounts in D1. I realize this is just a beta and am optimistic about the final release.

Played destiny from almost day1 and enjoyed the game but after playing D2's beta im a little disappointed with what was on show and truth be known it felt like ive downloaded a dlc and not a revamped destiny. So in 3 years all you have done is erase the old worlds then built new ones using the current game engine and that to me is not progress its a band aid. Thanks for destiny1 but d2 im not sure and the only reason i will play is for clan and friends. This is not a bash bunjie or destiny reply because i wouldnt of played as much as i did if it wasnt fun im just not enjoying the beta.
