Destiny 2 Beta Extended through Tuesday 7/25
The Destiny 2 Open Beta has been extended through Tuesday 7/25 for additional service testing. Expected completion is 6 PM PDT.
Expect service interruptions during more strenuous testing. Download the D2 Beta today before 5 PM Pacific to participate.
We will be doing a lot of testing during the extension like:
- What if we flip this switch?
- What if we unplug this cable that's labeled "Don't unplug this for any reason"?
- What happens if we spill a blue slushie on this important looking thing?
So things might get a little weird. Thanks!

I thought beta testing would improve opinions on a game? Never seen this much hate for beta testing on any game. Your refusal to get dedicated servers is beyond comprehension although if you did that your precious streamers would not be afforded their competitive advantage. Sorry dude I sort of liked PvP not being sniped or one shot with a hand cannon but the lag and cheaters are STILL overwhelming. I for one won't be buying D2

18 RepliesNo thanks, I'm going to stick with Borderlands 2, may be outdated and have no possibility of new DLC but the PVE aspect is completely unhindered by a developer trying to balance it with PVP.

As if it wasn't already difficult enough that when you see two enemies at once you can guarantee you are dead but if you aim and scope out by the time the radar comes back you are surrounded with no time to react...ill take a weapon with third eye please

4 RepliesIgnoring the hate below.. It's so cool to hate stuff right? Mostly I love it. Most of the weapons are great.. Except for sub machine guns (seem pointless) and the grenade launcher (seems under powered) Grenades and melee ability charge rates are a tiny bit too slow.. Class ability charge rate is great Supers take way too long. The gun slinger super seems under powered also.. PvP is good apart from ability charge rates.. I love that control is so aggressive now and I enjoy the new mode. To clarify.. I DONT think abilities should charge as fast as D1 but somewhere between that and how it currently is.

Cool. Playing Destiny 2 for an hour last Tuesday was enough for me. The game play of Destiny is what separated it from other fps titles. The game play of Destiny 2 is a giant step backwards.

I have friends who were so bad at D1 pvp you'd think they didn't have thumbs at all. But I'm d2 they are having fun and kicking ass. Why do you suppose that is? Because, in d1, skill was measured by spamming your abilities and special weapons. There was no true skill. But now as long as you stay close to your team and follow the objectives everybody is getting kills and having fun. But I do feel that abilities need a major boost in pve and a slight boost in pvp. Instead of getting your supers at the end of a match they should aim for in the middle. Sure better players could potentially get 2 supers a game but a super, even when used by a bad player, has the potential to flip the game script. The time in super feels fine. The damage by nades feel fine but the time to get them needs a boost

6 RepliesI tried multiple times to get into a control match while at lunch and was unable. Since I never had a problem 7/19/17 through 7/24/17 I can only assume that means the Beta ended at reset today. You do realize that when you say "through Tueday" that implies it will be available all day Tuesday. Since it's not currently available I can only assume you meant "until Tuesday" which would mean it ends when Tuesday starts which is what appears to have happened.

12 RepliesDon't know how you guys do it, I really don't. You tell people that you're extending the beta by two days, because you want to ensure that D2 is the best experience you can provide. What do you get? Attitude and insults. Your skin must be thicker than a Cabal Colossus's. I'm no fanboy. I've had a lot to say about both D1 and D2 lately, and it hasn't all been positive. But I totally respect your commitment to make D2 as good a game as possible. Thanks for doing this for us.

Can you extend it one more day? It would extend the beta to one week, so that you get more time to test. This is a little personal because I haven't been able to play it and if you extend it to tomorrow I would actually be able to play. Obviously this probably won't happen but maybe...

12 RepliesHey Cosmo, Shoulder Charge got really iffy on hit detection after I loaded the latest update. I literally just pushed a guardian against the wall. Did no damage what so ever. Also tried to do a sentinel shield swipe and did a 180 degree swipe into space instead of swiping straight forward for a kill.
