So, the Grenade Launcher in D2 BETA... Am I the only one that hates it?
I can not stand the thing. It is hard to figure out how to use it and even when you are right on target with it, the damage seems too low. In my opinion, the juice is not worth the squeeze.

Agree. It's inconsistent. Maybe if it had more ammo and fired faster. But as it is now I'm dead before I can kill anyone with it. And that's getting direct hits!

4 RepliesA lot of the weapons were real stinkers. I did laugh at the one auto rifle that had it's firing sound straight ripped from the Doom sound board.

The thing does -blam!--all against the strike boss and is *maybe* kind of okay on yellow health enemies. Also, it takes three direct grenade hits to kill someone in the crucible, its the only power weapon that can't one hit kill in pvp. I'm hoping this one gun doesn't reflect the whole weapon type, because if so then grenade launchers are absolutely -blam!-ed

I feel it has only situations it works. Its useless in pvp. But i used it against the boss in the strike and it knocked his health enormously!! Maybe there will be other grenade launches good for pvp. I think bungie has made weapons more pvp or pve specific hence the no rerolls. So hopefully if they execute right, we'll see a good variety.

You would have thought they would havee tested the weapons before beta and think "damn this is shit lets fix it before beta"

That's why there is a beta, damage will probably be increased for the release of the main game. Actually this is Bungie, so it's damage may actually be decreased, for reasons which will never be explained or understood.

It's very weak. It's like the equivalent of one of the clusters from D1's Rockets Launchers.

10 RepliesNope. It's useless in PvP and PvE. You can literally empty the clip into an orange bar and just about take down it's shields. In PvP you can have the opposing team all standing on B and not actually kill a single one with it!

Completely worthless, but most of the weapons felt very weak.

I've had absolutely no problems with it. It kills the enemies and I don't miss 🤷🏻♂️
