Luke Smith presents a new restriction

Lol a video on the vision of destiny and another slide in from Luke. Loadouts will now be locked in activities without the option to switch. Add this to all weapons having static loadouts, no grimoire, 4 man PvP. This should be called destiny 0.5. Instead of adding to the game they just ripping it apart. All player freedom one update after the next

    Can you explain a bit more as to "locked in activities"? Are you saying that we will be forced to use a pre-made loadout in certain activities? Or will we be stuck with what we first chose in terms of our own loadouts? And as to what activities will be "locked"? Edit: Nevermind. Google is my friend.

  • "Restrictions" Don't know how fun a game will be in an age with mods and high player skill. And are they keeping strikes and nightfalls at 3? I hope it's 4 in a fireteam tbh.

      Locked in some, not all. And we don't even know which activities those are, but I can guess raids, trials, and possibly the nightfall if it's returning. Personally, I don't really care because I don't tend to switch my stuff out that often, and when I do, it's swapping my primary. But now we get two primaries, so problem solved for me :P I do agree, however, that the 4 man PVP across all modes is a little ridiculous, but I never played much in the way of PVP anyways.

    • In certain activities. It's a modifier, like juggler, chaff, etc. and is meant to make the game more challenging in certain situations.

        🤔Sounds fun. Adds a challenge and forces us to think and plan for our engagements. I'd love to see set and locked loadouts for everything...especially that one cancerous PvP mode😏

        I really don't get this from Pve/raid point of view. I really hope this is competitive crucible only, and nightfall at most. Else: If you start in given roles, get stuck, then decide to reassign roles (and potentially change weapons) -> go back to orbit If somebody leaves and you need to replace them -> go back to orbit likely needed How are we suppose in the first place to try and find out our preferred loadout for said acitvity? -> go back to orbit everytime you want to change something What is this? Loading screen simlulator 2017?

              • We don't know how the restrictions are going to be implementing, but I took it as only some scenarios, and only then to make the event more difficult. Like, maybe how people solo a Nightfall? It could be a challenge to do so but only with the loadout that the game suggests. Like completing a lap in a racing game within a certain time. Like all of the news coming out, while we can voice our concerns, we're not going to have a real idea/opinion until the game drops. ☮️

                  • "Because in SOME of those activites, you're going to be loadout locked once they start." Way to take it out of context OP. SOME activities will have this feature. It's likely a modifier, like Mayhem for PVP or Chaff for PVE. They've been coming up with new modifiers since TTK, and it's pretty likely that this is just another one of those. Stop being such an alarmist.

                  • Well.. It means people will have to decide tactics before starting some activities. Who's doing heavy ? Who's going to be running protection ? People will have roles according to their loadout so won't spend ages cycling through their weapons looking for one. It will make people think and for those who complain Destiny is too easy actually give them more of a challenge.
