Thanks for completely removing the skillgap by promoting a sidearm, icebreaker, and ability meta ✌🏻

2 Replies what did you expect from destiny 1 after all the time
-
Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 6/4/2017 5:28:52 PMThis is what happens with you have ignorant Devs, and an even more ignorant playerbase. Besides, when isn't Crucible in a terrible state, according to this community?
-
1 ReplyWell when you have ignorant Devs don't expect much to change. SBMM going to stay most likely because Bungie logic, if everyone hates it, let's try and perfect it. It's hard to balance a game when you rely on pie charts, bar graphs, Reddit, and only 30 minutes of play time on the 3rd Tuesday of every 4 months. I'm sure the Devs for Destiny 1 think everything is working as intended.....

3 RepliesCrucible is the best it has ever been you may claim that that is all you see but when I play I actually look and see what people are killed by and it is a variety of primary weapons and occasionally a sniper sidearm or rocket.
-
been like that for 2 years
-
1 ReplyLets be brutally honest - when isn't it in a bad state according to the forums
-
2 RepliesAnd it'll only be worse in D2 with upcoming slower TTK
-
Yesterday was the first time in a while I got tilted. Went through 2 whole games and didn't die from a primary once. Grenades, sidearms and ice breakers. At least give me my special so I can compete
-
Let me provide some clarity here: aside from ability spam, Universal Remote, Icebreaker, No Land Beyond, Invective, high sidearm damage, and universally higher weapon damage, what we have in D1 now is a jacked up version of what Destiny 2 is going to look like. To give a better representation of what we should look forward to in D2, what Bungie should have done is maintain the special ammo changes and lower the sidearm damage to about 45 to the head/30 to the body with only one archetype (except Dreg's Promise and Trespasser of course). This would have made it so that the sidearm would take up the role as the second primary or "Energy" weapon it will be in D2 while keeping the damage relevant to current D1 values. The problem with the above solution is that as long as special ammo circumventing weapons and ability spam exists in relevance in D1, the result is a Frankenstein's monster of a meta that will forever mar this game's pvp scene. Destiny 2 can't come quick enough. That being said, I'll still spend time in D1 pvp until then.

But look on the bright side, the PvE meta is beautiful. ;-; ~TheGreatNike

1 ReplyMy NLB, sidearm, stickes and flame shield are happy. Running the Ram, too. Too bad they nerfed NLB it really was the best weapon. :(
-
It's destiny The skill gap was always small.
-
4 RepliesDestiny 2 is going to be just as bad. Slower ttk is only making it worse
-
Doesn't icebreaker require skill as a sniper? And sidearms are annoying but if you can stay at a distance, they can't do anything. And abilities are meant to be used a lot. That's why they have cool downs, so they can't be spammed. (Unless you use extra grenade/melee stuff with high strength and discipline, then it can be spammed more, but not horribly.)
-
I don't get why they thought taking special ammo out was a good idea. What Bungie, you thought everyone WOULDN'T flock to a sidearm or icebreaker? Special ammo was fine, none were really OP, but people shouldn't have a shotgun in their hands the whole game. It should've just given people a few bullets per life, and make special boxes come like once per game. That way if you're not so great at PVP and keep dying, you get to use the stronger secondaries more

Edited by BIGMAC103: 6/2/2017 1:17:43 PMIts in its most balanced state...but still a bit broken, and straight up boring. I know y1 was broke, but having powerful weapons and feeling overpowered is fun. Unfortuantely when real people are on the receiving end...you know what happens.
-
It has been sh1t since the 2.0 patch.
-
Ability/sticky spam and sidearms/ice breaker. It's pretty horrible. Definitely the worst it's ever been. But hey, Bungie don't care. Get ready for 3 more years of this type of "developer support".
-
Embrace the meta or die clinging to your values.
-
Ur probably getting farmed by KNIFE----PLAY and the Boiz.
-
We know.

3 RepliesTrump-era melodrama - it's not that bad, it's been much worse, and icebreakers aren't exactly a year1 mythoclast.

Edited by TheLastSeabass: 6/1/2017 11:26:29 PMThe whackamole dysfuntional nerf herder culture has led us here to this point. PvP divas are just as much the problem as the incompetent sandbox team. I'm not buying into the hype that things will be better in D2. The same people that cry now will be playing D2. The same knee jerk sandbox team will be in D2 to wipe up the tears and make it all better.....worse. Meanwhile, PvP decisions continue to affect PvE. Because of PvP divas, we have less weapon diversity in PvE for Destiny 2. We have to choose between a sniper, rockets, or sword. Thanks. I get to run 2 primaries in strikes and raids??? No thanks.
-
1 Reply6v6 gamemodes have a variety of guns actually i dont play trials so maybe they just use hand cannons and icebreakers there
-
Complaining about PvP at this point will do nothing, especially when D2's PvP actually looks balanced. *Side-note* yes there are already people on the forums that are calling for nerfs and buffs to super abilities

Edited by kindaSketch: 6/1/2017 10:36:20 PMThe only thing that bothers me is stickies. It actually irritates me that I have to use them against some ppl and it infuriates me to get killed by them over and over. Seen many games where some ppl never fired their gun once and bungie has the -blam!-ing balls to nerf guns bc of over use......
