Let's get this out of the way. I don't support some of the desisions made for D2
P2P
But I'm giving Bungie the benefit of the doubt. The game looks good. The gunplay still looks smooth af even at 30fps. PvP is primary based supported by abilities and power weapons, so it won't be a fest of OHK weapons and abilities.
I'm crossing my fingers that there's a good story. I hope Ghual is just as badass as Oryx was in Regicide. I hope most exotics come from adventure quests to make it feel like a proper RPG.
Most of all I just hope people won't as toxic then. Give the game a chance. If you don't like it remember GameStop a return policy. If the game turns out to be trash in the beta than we can all whine about it together.
Just my little rant.

1 ReplyI gave them the benefit of the doubt with destiny 1. I'm a full on skeptic now.

Wont be half bad, but wont be half good either

20 RepliesEdited by Thane: 5/25/2017 12:34:07 AM"Give the game a chance", .... No. Give them nothing, wait for reviews then make an educated purchase. Sounds much better to me if only to avoid disappointment/mediocrity.

I don't support some of Bungie's decisions
~~~€========3
I'm excited, but I won't give them the benefit of the doubt. They lost that on the dlc expansions for me
-
30€ and I am in. I still didn't get the product promised in 2014 till this date. Bungie owes me a AAA game, got a B+ instead.
1 ReplyEdited by Mister Nice Guy: 5/25/2017 12:37:51 AMI feel like that should be Destiny's motto: "Not half bad"
6 RepliesI dont understand the hate for pvp in d2, go into crucible now and tell me if your having fun... its trash atm. I cant wait for d2
-
10 RepliesI think it breaks down on four lines. 1. If you loved D1 (despite its problems), D2 is shaping up to be the game we wished D1 had been (especially in PvE). 2. If you're someone who lives in the Crucible and doesn't really play PVE, then the lack of 60 fps and dedicated servers is a big disappointment. 3. If you were someone who grew disillusioned with D1 and walked away, Bungie hasn't shown enough yet to definitively win people back to the game. 4. If you hated D1....or just one of those people who enjoy being critical and negative.....well...... Haters are gonna hate. All this "Oh its the same game. Its Destiny 1.5. This is nothing but an expansion/DLC" are comments that are so ignorant that they don't warrant a reply.
-
I just think it's hilarious that everyone is roasting (and praising) a game that is not even out yet.
-
Besides not having dedicated servers the game looks fine. Ya it's a bummer to have the same shit show of a server run Destiny 2 but honestly I don't care. Just give me the game so I can go rogue for about a week
-
even if its the same as destiny 1 it'll be good
-
Honestly, I don't really like PvP outside of Trials. But that new S&D-type gamemode looks fun as hell.
-
TO: All the people saying that it looks like Destiny 1 MSG: IT'S A FORKING SEQUEL!!!!!! OF COURSE IT LOOKS LIKE THE ORIGINAL GAME!1!!!!!1!! FROM: The Rest of Us P.S. I have not played Destiny in a LONG time, so sorry if my opinions are wrong #Satire #DoNotKillMePlease
I just got excited after reading the interview about the lost sectors and adventures. The PvP changes really make me happy.
-
No I won't like. Stop asking for likes you Mor
-
I'm hype af
I hear what you're saying. But I look at it like this. I'm going to play it. If I like it I'll continue playing it. If I get tired of it I'll move on to another game. A lot of people are acting like if you buy it you have to play it non stop until Destiny 3 comes out. 🙄
-
I'm excited, love the idea of guided games and the change up to weapon slots. Saw a PvP clip the other day where they dude switched between a HC and an AR which was the energy slot
I personally can't wait as it's new content which I can't wait to play, and the new social area looks fun too! Especially a story where we lose EVERYTHING, those are my favorites -
I think Destiny 2 will be more Destiny. I'm ok with this.
-
I barely play PvP. I will be doing raid sherpas. I also will be primarily on PC. I couldn't be more excited.
Edited by Smough: 5/25/2017 1:08:58 PMWell, I liked the reveal, but not enough to make me pre-order yet. Can't wait to try out the beta to see if it's worth it, because I really hope it is.
-
All one can do is hope for the best or at least an acceptable meeting of most expectations. The bottom line for me is that I hope it's enough fun to keep my friends interested in playing it together for a long time to come. Unfortunately, Destiny has already run that course. D2, though, will undoubtedly be better than D1 was at drop.
Looks great...but it's the people that make it better. Have never played a game and had such a massive group of like-minded people to play with.
Edited by SizableSpore391: 5/25/2017 1:59:02 PMtbh i played d1 for 3 years like it was my only game yeah the game have huge leaks of explaining the lore and it looks like they dont want to fix that issue and after you get max light after high rolling at rng the game is just repeating same pvp ,same raid and the simple mission where you just shoot stuff and i dont even need to say the micro transactions (ps Activision you littel bitch) ,but only good think that make the game work for that much is the ppl who gather to play together having fun being in that group you feel at home,imo i will only rejoin the game to play with my xbone buddys if they put cross platform to work what is most likely to not happen if not then i will wait to see if the game rly change and maybe rejoin
vanilla of d2 is just one of d1 exp
