Let's get this out of the way. I don't support some of the desisions made for D2
P2P
But I'm giving Bungie the benefit of the doubt. The game looks good. The gunplay still looks smooth af even at 30fps. PvP is primary based supported by abilities and power weapons, so it won't be a fest of OHK weapons and abilities.
I'm crossing my fingers that there's a good story. I hope Ghual is just as badass as Oryx was in Regicide. I hope most exotics come from adventure quests to make it feel like a proper RPG.
Most of all I just hope people won't as toxic then. Give the game a chance. If you don't like it remember GameStop a return policy. If the game turns out to be trash in the beta than we can all whine about it together.
Just my little rant.

Bumped, I love the weapon changes and 4v4 looks creative and fun.

79 RepliesIdk what people expect when they say it's more of the same. No -blam!-ing shit. It's a sequel.
-
It's going to be fantastic and we all know it. My one hope is that either A) the community stops asking for so many nerfs or B) Bungie ignores those pleas.
-
5 RepliesIt's all about pvp pvp pvp so although I will wait until it's released and then make a proper decision I'm already very worried.
-
I don't think it will be half bad- I think it will be ALL BAD
jk- I hope it's good
-
D1 was as flawed as it was brilliant. Considering the mileage I got out of it, I'm absolutely rolling the dice on D2.
-
What I would like is for people to stop making like posts
-
It ain't gonna be that bad, but if activision didn't have there hands all over bungle, it would be that good. So good, id probably never play another game in my lifetime. They did it with D1 and they'll probably do it with D2

6 RepliesIt's not going to be perfect, but it'll be perfect to me.

Edited by GRAYFOX-SVT: 5/25/2017 4:02:39 PMIm looking forward to all if it

1 ReplyMost complaints are bc they love the game otherwise it wouldn't even be worth the time to complain about.
-
14 RepliesEdited by cynicalpsycho: 5/25/2017 6:27:01 AMThe PvP focus has me frustrated and the dumbing down and "streamlining" is disappointing. There's no point in catering to new players if you're making the old ones leave.

6 RepliesWhat if I think it will be all bad? Do I still like?
-
1 ReplyIt's been a while since I've been on these forums but anyway:
To be completely honest, I just hope Bungie focuses more on PvE rather than PvP.
-
I think it will be a good step ahead. Probably what the first game should've been. But is that enough of a step ahead?
-
Good rant. Just don't let some of the hatred being tossed around by the minority rub off on you, it sorta did on me and it feels terrible.
-
1 ReplyLets all admit it, were going to play it, were going to like, were going to complain about it but still play it because past any complaints were going to enjoy playing it
-
I think it will be doublely good

3 RepliesEdited by Oak: 5/25/2017 5:02:54 AMI'm kinda salty about P2P in D2. I can understand limiting the game due to hardware limitations (30 FPS for example), but not having dedicated servers is a cheap move to milk as much cash as possible from the destiny community. Total money grubing dick move by bungie and activision. I'm gonna wait until the PC version comes out, by then there should be a good consensus on whether or not D2 is just a glorified DLC cash grab or a worthy successor. My faith in Bungie over the last three years has been all but shot to hell by Bungie themselves. I don't trust them like I did during their Halo days. I gave the them benefit of the doubt with Destiny and got burned with vanilla destiny, dlc, and the mass confiscation of gear and weapons. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I trust bungie as far as I can throw Luke Smith.

Gonna be awesome from the looks of it.

4 RepliesEdited by Radahn: 5/25/2017 3:04:28 PMEveryone seems to forget that the greedy move of not putting in dedicated servers does not only affect pvp connection stabillity. But if bungie put in dedicated servers...it would free up the limited cpu(which is the cause of it not being able to have 60fps) side which would make 60fps possible destiny's universe..
-
If I get a quarter of the hours out of Destiny 2 that I got out of D1, I will be a satisfied customer. I'm actually seriously considering buying a PS4 for Destiny 2, depending on the exclusives and whether or not they do anything to recognize D1 players (that controller, though. Ugh). The only thing that bums me out about D2 is the lack of dedicated servers. That's just being cheap. I honestly can't see the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS, but that's just my experience.
-
1 ReplyJust my thoughts: Is Destiny consider a looter shooter, and are more players playing pve than pvp? Would the player base wait longer if Bungie was developing 60 fps and getting dedicated servers?
-
I felt about the reveal the way I did about destiny hype and e3 and all that other bullshit. I think I'm annoyed because I felt like destiny should have been something more. Bungie kept reviews from going out until after its release. I think I'll wait for them
-
2 RepliesI'm so sorry. But if you want to be positive you are in the wrong place. Bungie's community guidelines clearly state that all posts must include asking for a nerf.
-
1 ReplyI gave them the benefit of the doubt with destiny 1. I'm a full on skeptic now.
