Well this Tuesday I will ask for the following requirements High ish grimoire (around 5000) At least 50 kings fall completions (think I have 100) That's it. Kings fall is a very mechanic heavy raid and I'm not prepared to sit at oryx for 4 hours because someone can't snipe a knight. Oh and if someone mentions the "no knight strat" - Insta blocked.

Let people ask for whatever requirements they want, for them, its just a way of ensuring to some extend that the person joining has some idea of whats going on, unfortunately this is not always the case. I tell you one thing though, I did VoG on tuesday on PS4 right after reset, it took me around 4 1/2 hours to do all 3 runs even attempted the gorgons a few times. This is by no means a world record but decent enough (average of 1h.30 m per run) considering I was playing with a bunch of randoms from LFG with requirements similar to what you put in your post. Anyway then I switched and tried the same on Xbox 1, influenced by all those posts (like this one) criticizing elitist LFG posts I decided I wouldnt be too picky. God I was heading for disappointment. I spent most of Tuesday trying to get it done, we couldnt get pass the templar. First guy I joined said not to worry he was on the ball, we just need to stop him from teleporting so how hard could that be... when I asked if he had ever tried that before his answer was no. I said ok... I started as with my Hunter http://destinytracker.com/dg/6303223731 After 1h 16 minutes and as they couldnt stay alive for more than a couple of minutes nor even bring his health down to less than 3/4 I switched to my Titan, thinking more bubbles would mean more people alive... Second attempt different team, 1h 40 minutes, couldnt get pass the templar http://destinytracker.com/dg/6305231602 Then I moved to the gatekeeper cp (with another team) Then 56 minutes (people kept leaving, lagging out) http://destinytracker.com/dg/6305208686 And another 45 minutes http://destinytracker.com/dg/6305307529 And finally got it done 1h 12 minutes last attempt http://destinytracker.com/dg/6305307529 Ridiculous... Thats a total of 9 h (give or take) wasted so far trying to get the Templar done (never did) which btw took me less than 3 minutes per attempt to do on PS4 and all my 3 attempts where I only wiped once on our first run with also a group of randoms and 3 h for atheon. I gave up for the day Next day I made sure I would be picky with my team and saw a guy saying "Experienced team only, have proper weapons, if you are the weak link you will be kicked", so I joined I got it down 3 times including the gorgon challenge that period. All 6 challenges on all my 3 characters. So there you go, from now on I will go back to my standards and stick to people who know what they are doing, have experience, proper weapons and can communicate/understand basic concepts. BTW on our last 2 successful runs we had a guy who had never done VoG before but was mature enough to listen and grasp basic concepts, I have no problem with people like this. Previous to that the party/ft leader had to kick a guy because he kept f... ing it up. You might feel sorry for that guy but if he would have stayed we would have never completed that within reasonable time. Now that I have my challenges done I can help people with the raid WHEN I want to do it. As I always do.

I knew this week in particular was going to be bad....but it was worse. I've played since day 1, but didn't have the time back then to raid. So, i have no vault experience. Getting in a group is impossible. I tried making my own for vault noobs, not a single response. Oh well, ill just wait for kings fall.

It's funny cause in year 1 where was the sleeper to help in vog it didn't exist so it's Def not needed now

If you dont have sleeper you have no excuse, it is arguably the strongest exotic in the game. Not having the swords just means youre lazy so i dont want you, and not being max level is kinda stupid at this point when i play little and still have a vault full of max level stuff.

Last night I saw a post requirement that said "crota cp most have emblem" i gave it a shot since I had the emblem and all 6 of us had the emblem, all sleepers, 2 titans, we killed Atheon our 2 try.... wow i couldnt believe how fast our playstyle bonded.. someone got a checkpoint and we ran another character fast, we all sent friend requests .. that is just rare these days in LFG

Make your own group then.

Could not agree more. If you are on croata and need to know my light or class to join I'd rather not. Here are my requirements to beat croata a pulse and a working controller! Also if you need specific weapons that means either your team doesn't have them or you don't know what you're doing. Rather join chill group, or group that says need help willing to listen.

People don't understand the burden you put on your team when you don't have weapons, the experience to stay alive or LL to properly play the raid. Let their requirements stay. We had one person not pulling their weight on Templar and it led to 2 hrs of no completion. We switch the guy out then 2 runs later beat it. Some of us don't have time for petty crap. I've ran 4 groups through Templar with most of them never completed the challenge yet. If someone says must have emblem okay maybe that's a little too much since it's the 1st week. But must have weapon "insert here" usually isn't too much as all the needed weapons can be obtained through quests.

Ive not really done many raids but you can't really blame people for all these requirements. Alot of people have done these raids 100+ times and its a boring boring chore for them now, so they want to get in get the loot and get out as fast as possible and not spend a second more in it than they have to.

Can someone please explain to me, preferably from someone that has done this, why people join raid groups claiming they "have done this before" and "know how to do the challenge" and when we spawn into the raid, don't just not know how to do the challenge but also do not even know: 1. What An oracle is 2. Teleports are random 3. Not to run up and start shotgunning atheon 4. How to open a vex gate ? Please guys that do this and waste my time. Please explain how you lack this knowledge when LFG posts clearly state you need it prior to joining. I will wait
