Hey everyone.
My birthday is coming up soon and my friends and I are looking to play through a game as a group.
Currently the top contenders are as following:
Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone DLC
Tales from the Borderlands
Batman Telltale
Last of Us (although might take too long for one sitting)
Any suggestions?
Forgot to mention, preferably something which has a lot of story in it
Another thing, don't have nintendo consoles. Also, I know these are all single player games. I'm quite aware of that. But the reason for that is we have Injustice 2 lined up in the morning to play (virtually everyone wants to play that so it's not up for debate at this point to pick another game) but we all want to play through a story based game in the evening. Hence posting this poll.
We played Until Dawn last year and everyone enjoyed that a lot more than any movie so deciding to play through another game this year.

Couch coop, don't take turns, that's boring.

Ssb or Mario party

6 RepliesSounds like a lame ass party.

5 RepliesThat sounds like the lamest party ever. Bunch of dudes watching another dude play a game.

Layers of Fear was free, I don't know if it still is. But like those other guys said, a Telltale game would be good.

1 ReplyAlien: Isolation makes for a fun group play once you get through the tutorial. Mario Kart, Smash and Halo make for good couch co-op too.
-
1 ReplyYou have any Mass Effect games?
-
Those are all single player though... Get Diablo 3 or Borderlands 2. Or find a used GameCube and grab any Mario Party, Smash, or Mario Kart. If anything I guess play the Telltale games if you don't wanna go with my possibly costly suggestions. Oh, and happy birthday, mine is today.

Play and beat the P.T. Silent Hills demo with the lights out and the sound turned up. Rotate the controller around to the most easily scared people in the room. More of a Halloween thing, but still...

Play a telltale. Good for parties or friends. ~ Making America Great Again ~

5 RepliesIf you have a Nintendo system play smash, or if you have a 360 play split screen halo. Single player games are a no go for parties

One of the best types of games to play as a group, are very difficult games. Setup around player death, or time intervals (supposing people don't die as often as you'd think) It's especially entertaining if none of you have played the game. So 3+people on a dark souls game for example, or 3+people on a retro game (because some retro games are pretty fucking hard. For retro, you just need a decent enough controller for your pc/laptop, and an emulator + roms. Regardless of what you pick, it'd be hella funny to record it and see each others fail/triumph reactions. I just noticed that you said story oriented game though, and for that....I would suggest anything short but sweet. The previously mentioned would be tons of more fun imho though. If you guys are over the pg13 limit
actually, way beyond that. 21+ lol
then throw in some shots. Each fail, take a shot. Just don't get alcohol poisoning haha.

1 Replyout of those? None. Any particular reason you chose all one player games for a "play as a group" party?
-
2 RepliesWhy would you play a single player game at a party?

Get 3 other buddies and lots of beer, make 99 overall characters on NHL and add them to your favourite team, start franchise with that team and turn line changes and penaltys off and have at it. Great times.

1 ReplyWhy not Nintendo games. Mario party Mario kart or smash bro.
