To the people complaining about the Adept Raid Weapons, Why?
I guess I'm just dense because I don't really understand why the new adept weapons are such a bad thing?
We're getting some of our most favored weapons back from the abyss that is Year One but for some reason the new system being used to give us back our elemental primaries is being hated on by a lot of people on Bnet. I don't understand, ever since Year Two began people have been wanting a solar and void companion to the Zhalo Supercell but now all of a sudden it's a bad thing that we're getting just that and more.
I'm not trying to be harsh and criticize people for this, so if I come off that way I'm sorry. I just want to know why people are hating on this so much.

It seems that people are just genuinely upset that they can't run their old generic loadout from Year 1 ex: Fatebringer, Black Hammer and Gjally. I can see why that is disappointing but I also see the potential for new loadouts to be crafted from this. Fatebringer is still getting a legendary varient so it will still be one of the better weapons for VoG, the same rule applies to VoC. [/i]

3 RepliesMost people don't seem to realize that a fatebringer roll on either a fatebringer or an imago loop is amazing whether it has arc burn or not. Would expect some people to change their minds after they try it especially with explosive rounds too..... I'm gonna be keeping my yr 1 legendary fatebringer and vision for nostalgia.

This game has always been about finding great loadouts.... Ones that are fun to play and suit your play style. Getting a great Legendary is worth a lot more than most of the exotics, since you can only equip one. If the game was NOT ending.. I think it would be good if there was elemental primaries and they were hard to get. But since we started with them, why not end with them? Without the elemental damage most of the weapons will just be deleted (assuming the stats haven't change) My guess I'll be using a loadout similar to what I have been using for the last year+., which is pretty boring. The only think that might change is adding an Oracle disruptor weapon.. assuming one drops.

I kinda makes sense to me. Having an element on a primary makes it exotic. Should have been like that since vanilla. Maybe they would have never been taken away then. Just my opinion though.

Fatebringer without the burn is pointless though as you can just just an imago loop which you can roll exactly the same

People should just enjoy the new content. With D2 right around the corner and knowing our stuff doesn't carry over, does it really matter? Shoot some aliens, hang out with friends and grind for loot. Have some fun before we all start over from scratch. Just a noobs opinion

Why? Because there was a time, when raid weapons were seen somehow as legendary exotics! now with them being exotics, to me, this is just stupid and makes me totally sick! not to mention that there will be more than one version of the same gun, what makes it even dumber!

I'm fine with an Exotic Vision of Cornflakes. I don't use a single Exotic primary anyways. My Unending Deluge and But Not Forgotten are good and my IB Scout is a god roll. Having a solar exotic would be nice.

Here is the way I look at it. I just want my Vision of Confluence back. I don't care if it has burns on it, I just want it up to light level and I'm gunna rock that thing the moment it drops for me. Now, I will also be going after the adept versions of those same weapons because of burns and when a situation may call for it. So I am just happy to see my Vision and Fatebringer coming back (and yes I know I could get the Imago, but RNG hates me and won't roll it with the perks). *shrugs*

You just don't understand. These babies need elemental primaries because the pve is so damn hard for them. I mean how can they possibly clear the nightfall and heroic strikes without elemental burns?

Because you only have a chance when the raid is the weekly. Which makes it seem (!!) like the drop chances are extremely low...and require fire teams constantly. Very annoying they are only available in the raid as it appears now. We will have to wait and see.

6 RepliesIt's just the community being a bunch of loud mouthed bitches really. I wish bungie brought back the reroll system and just let us all have fun for the last few months of this games life. Just brake the -blam!-ing game until destiny 2. Make everything OP who gives a shit. Nothing carrys over so in a sense none of this matters so why be such sticks in the mud and complain when in a few months most players will be in destiny 2 and will have forgotten about destiny as a whole? Just my two cents on everything. If I was bungie I'd just buff everything and revert things back to when they were amazing. Hand cannons as snipers? Sure. Pulse rifles melting players? Fine. AR's being bullet hoses at even range? You got it. Truth having three rockets and grenades and horseshoes being a good perk again? Coming right up. -blam!- balance at this point let's have these last few months be total mayhem!

I play a fair bit every other day or so, mostly an hour or two at a time just before I go to bed. I have a wife and a toddler and a full time job. But I love playing Destiny - PvP and PvE. But to find the time to do raids let alone the time to find mates on LFG is near impossible. I'm not saying Destiny should be rewarding to everyone simply for the sake of it, but our efforts are a grind too - I know I'm not the only one who made it to 400 light without ever completing a raid. The two times I decided to burn the midnight oil for a raid, we had clowns who just upped and left before the end. I never thought I'd rant about Bungie, but this doesn't feel right at all. Especially to someone who hasn't removed the Destiny disc from their ps4 in a year already. I really enjoy it. But maybe not much more after AoT.

This doesn't really affect me in the slightest. Yes it'll be fun as hell to nab exotic raid primaries but at the same time it kind of makes the token raid exotics kind of lack luster. You play VoG for the Exotic Mythoclast.. Now every raid will have like 5 exotics tied to it. I'd be lying if I said I didn't use FateBringer or VoC for a long ass time but in truth, it was because at the time, they were the strongest guns I had (light level wise) Now that every gun you get can be bumped to 400, I do not see myself using these adept primaries a whole lot except when I don't want to use an exotic special or heavy. Vision of Confluence was my only primary up to Taken King so I am hoping I get that baby to drop for me when the time comes.

They could very well have just said -blam!- that and left them behind, people, so STFU and be happy or be children and keep crying over it. Me? I am just happy there's a chance to get them back at all. Oh wait? You people were expecting them to just hand out Elemental Primaries without having to work for them? I cant use elemental Fatebringer with Gally. Bungie did a good job with gear ornaments and what not but these weapons now being locked behind weekly challenges just pushes more play time on us that isnt really necessary. Sad honestly because I dont want to have to log on Destiny every Tuesday to get items I want. If I want to go raid all day I should be able to. Looting once a week and being locked out is acceptable but having us wait 3 weeks for adept elemental primaries from each raid? Lol. The fact that its all been in the game for nearly 3 years is even more sad. Oh well. I hope they did redesign Crota. At least no cheeses will be fun.

They complain because they can. The perpetually unhappy will always find something to whine about in Destiny. If they don't, then they will make something up. It's much ado about nothing.

In addition to it being arc. You get that, right? The raid primaries don't have exotic perks. Even compared to Zhalo (which in itself is a highly situational weapon) they are completely subpar. If somehow Bungie reworked all the adept raid weapons to give them their own unique exotic perks, it'd be fine. As it stands, just having an element on your primary doesn't make it exotic. These are very poorly watered down versions of exotics.

13 RepliesFor me it's because the elemental damage was what made them special rewards from the raid. They don't have exotic perks really -you can roll a functional copy of most of them from other weapons except for a few with unique perks like old school Black Hammer. So having the elemental damage was why you would grind the raid. Honestly unless they each get a true exotic perk, they will feel a bit lacking as exotics just for adding Arc damage to an Imago Loop for instance.

Nightfalls are easy as it is, we don't need primary burn for that, and I'm well used to being prepared with my loadout, so special and heavy gets more use. Don't care about collecting but I could see people that want to collect all weapons and gear being annoyed as the vault space hasn't been increased.
