WW1, they were running out of soldiers faster than they could replace them.
WW2, they were getting their asses handed to them.

That is true, but you lazy yanks only got in on the last year, hardly a contribution. And in the second war, Germany had nowhere to go. They couldn't invade Britain because the Brits crippled their fleet in the north. They were holding them steady in Africa at the point that you joined in. The only real thing that would be any sort of problems would be the Japanese who were still fighting China at the time.

Except the German Air force was far superior to the British air force. And they were losing. If the US hadn't shown up and helped, then Europe would have been lost to Germany, whether they won in Russia or not.

In numbers but not technology. Most of our air battles were delaying tactics for evacuations and The moment the spitfires where completed it was sent straight towards the nearest firefight.

The German airforce was very good, but their fighters were used completely wrong. The German fighters were designed to work exceptionally well at a certain altitude and below but were forced to fly higher to escort the bombers, handing the British fighters the advantage. And how exactly would Britain fall to the Krauts? They couldn't invade since the navy was crippled and German paratroopers were woefully untrained. I will admit that the lend lease from America did help allot.

Because Germany did put their fighters at that altitude when not escorting bombers. Remember, these men had taken almost all of continental Europe, and Britain was next.
