Activision Re-Confirms Destiny Sequel for 2017
http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/02/09/destiny-sequel-still-on-track-for-2017
Guess all the nay-Sayers who cried it wouldn't happen were wrong! Of course let's hope it's worthy of hype and beyond amazing!!!
I don't get why Activision and bungie don't advertise this better. I don't think they realize the leak of that power point slide helped the hype and anticipation of Destiny and it's DLCs. Keeping tight lipped then doing twitch isn't bad but I feel it's not effective.
Edit: I love how people comment my reference to the power point leak in 2014 and incorrectly assume I mean it's the current call today. Lol. Also that I'm "impatient" or entitled because I mention the 2014 leak helped them with keeping players enticed about destiny. That leak was one slide with nothing more than names and dates. That kept players involved because they knew when things were releasing. They were less likely to lose interest. Year one didn't get stale for long with the DLCs and time between. Year two was slow. Year three worse. How bad would letting us know possible time windows be? Doesn't reveal anything like spoilers. Personally felt that helped Year one.
Edit: Lol. Love how SOME MEMBERS of this community doesn't fail to be toxic or snide. Grateful the majority aren't that way.

3 RepliesDestiny 1 took 4 or 5 years, Destiny 2 has had what 2 years? Now we see Activision saying its coming soon and it will do if its ready or not because if it doesnt Activision can pull a clause in the contract and take Bungies share and leave them bankrupt.

Edited by KayOsS882: 2/13/2017 7:51:45 AMDestiny 2: More DLCs Get ready, because the let you customize your character with more customizable options. Then three months later youll get to shoot something once you purchase the first dlc.

1 ReplySo in other words don't buy D2 because guaranteed it's gonna be another sham rushed game especially now when I heard everything was flowing well.
-
6 RepliesIn other news... Water is wet.
-
32 RepliesBut its Activision...not bungie saying this. I don't trust that company anymore. I think they could be pushing bungie to finish way before its fully done resulting in a destiny repeat. Idk, I want to hear it from bungie.
-
1 ReplyExcept i will be looking forward to THE NEW CALL OF DUTY which will fall back to its "origins" world war 2. Cant wait for this
-
9 RepliesHate to break it to you all, but at this pace, the game will be extremely underwhelming at launch with the usual DLC cuts. There is next to no solid evidence of it & it's almost here. Supposedly. There's no way they can create the massive scope of the game in just a year without cutting corners, as they only recently fully focused on it after RoI

Activision is communicating to investors who care about cash streams and not the game.
-
4 RepliesJust found this 😆
-
3 RepliesDidn't need to be re confirmed, we all always new d2 was to be release after summer of 2017, we've known this since early 2016
-
2 Replies😳So you're saying that they're going to release a full sequel after this 3 year long beta?!? 🙄
-
6 RepliesPeople still play this game? Lol!
-
Now let's hope is doesn't have laggy SBMM aids and Supply drop cancer.

3 RepliesEdited by Pilcrow: 2/10/2017 8:31:42 PMWe have better odds of seeing biowares new destiny like franchise released this year then we do seeing destiny 2 trailer. I don't believe it until bungie actually says something about it. So far, they are doing a horrible job. By the way, people keep saying a september release. Why buy destiny 2 in september to re-buy it in november when the new xbox console comes out... Thats Bungie Vi$$$sion.. So don't support that bullshit!

We will see.
-
11 RepliesThis was announced to make their shareholders happy. Destiny 2 is not coming out in 2017. Expect a delay with a half assed excuse
-
P.S.A. Remember everything you earned or bought is staying in destiny 1 . So before you buy any silver / or pay someone to go to the lighthouse , just ask yourself whats the point .
-
2 RepliesI just want to know what we (existing players) get to bring into destiny 2.

Even the Division got some backlash about cut content because stuff shown at E3 wasn't in the final game plus rumors of "graphics downgrades" from many games at E3. Also factor in that they were most likely waiting until after this earnings call to release any info on D2. Who knows, we may get some teasers now that the earnings call has passed.

Release it now!

4 RepliesEdited by twisted: 2/10/2017 11:21:51 PMI wish it was 2018 that this game released since it would make it a more polished game and more time to advertise Edit : fixed spelling error :)
-
This is why I don't care for an April update since by September most will be moving to D2 anyway. They can't afford to delay it any longer, Bungie is on borrowed time and they need something bigger and better, no 3 hour quest with the same enemy will save them this time.
-
I saw the article and thought meh. Bungo had possibly the best game of the century and completely destroyed it. I'm sure I'll still be thoroughly captivated with horizon zero dawn by the time D2 comes out so meh.

1 ReplyI think you are a great guardian.
