I agree with you but 1-You can't blame people for using effective loadouts 2-No one goes into a crucible match with the intention of loosing

I personally run different load outs every match , however, I think ppl are sick of dying to other try hards . They can't seem to have a fun match with a variety of good guns that aren't consistent with their play style . It takes some grit to try a unknown gun that isn't as consistent. also it's pure stupidity to do so when trying to go major + k/d . So what do you expect ? Ppl are going to use what works because failing beyond belief isn't usually an acceptable option for most guardians ; pride, it's a thing . So yeah A clever dragon with 2 stability perks and high. Caliber rounds Or A grasp of Malok with 2 stability perks and a glass half full Or a MIDA / hawkmoon / tlaloc Are viable primaries A OP corner camping shot gun for bait and switch and camp tactics is a must . Truth rockets or proximal dett. On a good rocket or tracking is a great heavy or sword ... Grenades supers melee the whole shebang mate . -> I've played nice while doing bounties trying to make a stressful 50 primary kills with test weapons while ppl jus walk through you with shotguns ... it's not fun . And i know they are thinking ' why didn't that guy switch to his secondary and waste me ? ' Truthfully - I don't mind getting wrecked a few times . This game is stressful enough that I know ppl appreciate running into me playing like an idiot so they can have some stress relief ... but know this ... when the gloves come off I'm the guy that goes 18.0 / hides and runs / t bags every kill/ makes ppl leave from rage. so what goes around comes around ;)

I try to play with other options as much as I can. Working with the Parthian Shot right now, actually. But if you actually want to have a chance at winning, yeah, you don't really have any choice. the concept of using a meta loadout has been enforced so heavily that everyone else that wants to win is doing it, so you either do it too, have an outstanding game with something else, or lose most of your even 1's. I'm not a fan of it, because I like using things with different play styles. I've been exploring aggressive Vanity / Thorn and fusion rifle play recently, just because it's different than the normal peek and shoot routine, but it's tough to stay with it long term. humans are competitive by nature, we like to win, we don't like to lose, and if we can change that outcome by changing our guns, most of us will eventually. Even if it's boring, we'll keep doing it, because genetically we are programmed to take the most beneficial outcome for the least personal risk possible. I hate to say it, but anyone that keeps playing PvP on a long enough timeline will do the exact same thing. that timeline may be longer than the life of the actual game, but it is an eventuality and a law of nature. That's why I'm hoping the upcoming balance changes make the concept of -meta- a lot more blurry.

Just got my new thorn and although it's no were near as strong as it used to be... It's still a very good gun. Plus I got the rose of corruption ornament witch looks awesome.

This community is a bunch of sheep for the most part , so no. It's too hard for them not to ride each other with the best load out because they aren't good enough or have the courage to try anything else.

Queen's/Variks' weapons all the way. If it ain't gots chroma, it ain't gots a spot in my loadouts (mostly). Swords, Iron Gjally (PvE), and Truth (PvP) are exempt from this self imposed rule.

I never take Crucible wins seriously unless it is Iron Banner. Crucible wins are negligible and the rewards are equal to a loss, so the incentive to win is down to personal preference, or a minor amount of reputation (negligible since bounties give far greater sums). Since that is the case, I care more about enjoying the small time I will be in the Crucible. Wins are not as important to me, so focusing on winning is on the back-burner. A go-to loadout for me is a Gunslinger focus on throwing knives, First Curse, a fusion rifle and a sword. Sword because it looks fashionable on my back and I never get heavy ammo anyways. I'll mix it up with a pocket-infinity or Nechrochasm every now and then.
