So I think I'm the only one who feels this but... there really isn't going to be a place for the warlock soon. People have gotten incredibly good at the raid that they even put "need hunters and titans, no warlocks" in their posts. Hunters have a great pve super and titans have their bubble for dps and protection. While warlocks do have selfrez, it has been nerfed to where nova bomb is sometimes better. And yes there is stormtrance but it's going to be nerfed very soon due to angry people in the crucible. Once that happens, both hunters and titans will be much better choices for the raid and crucible. What are your thoughts?

People underestimate the burns of a sunsinger for dps on bosses. They'd just rather use tether and weapons of light.

Edited by Misterhon: 1/15/2017 6:41:23 AMPeople needed warlocks to push atheon off the map. People needed hunters for the thrall pit and running sword on crota. People needed titans for their bubble during ogre fase. Wrath of the machine? No class was overpowered in that one. You can complete the raid with 6 warlocks, 6 titans, or 6 hunters. So i don't see the point?

1 ReplyStormcaller is fantastic for the death zamboni. Great to pair with nightstalker for nearly infinite orbs / crowd control. If you are trying to use self rez in the raid, ur doin it wrong.

6 RepliesEdited by Kuraishi Sol: 1/14/2017 9:58:58 AMAs a sunsinger I do the most dps consistently to the bosses during raids. Radiance is just too useful for boss dps to pass up. Also the speed and maneuverability easily make it the best class for me.
-
10 RepliesI'm a Warlock main and I don't give a -blam!- about what people think about me. I run Solar nades + sunbreakers for Raid boss DPS. And stormcaller to clear adds.
-
More Sunsingers need to experiment with their Radiance to see what they can do. There are ways for a Sunsinger to be the most Damaging Per Super

1 ReplyThe only place a warlock isn't welcome
a straight bar #huntermasterrace
2 RepliesVoidwalker I'll throw grenades for days one shot the captains with nova in wotm. Stay on the front lines regaining health while everyone else is hiding looking for cover.
-
2 RepliesWe had a sunsinger running melting point int he raid earlier, that dude was on top of the leaderboard for DPS on aksis....
-
Every week I use my warlock first on the raid because it's by far the most useful and the most fun. Ya ppl want tethers and bubbles but I'm a 400 and I usually raid with 400s so dps is never a worry with my groups. I use my warlock and I use voidwalker. Void fang investments with embrace the void allow you to throw basically unlimited grenades. In vosik part 2 I always have the most kills by like 30. For the siege engine I will change to storm caller and for aksis challenge I use self rez but otherwise I just run voidwalker all the way thru. I mean do you like space magic. I also enjoy running gunsinger and striker but voidwalker is by far my favorite.

Edited by daviscircus5: 1/16/2017 2:03:41 PMI think warlocks are still extremely useful we can still DESTROY with well placed supers

6 RepliesFrom past experiences in other Raids I can tell you that Warlocks are essential for crowd control. If you and your buddies are trying to put as much damage on the boss as you can it helps that there is a Warlock roaming the edges of the map wiping out all those pesky minions that keep throwing off your aim and draining your health.
-
3 RepliesPeople that post Hunters and Titans only and no need for Warlocks. They are obviously quite garbage at the game and need all of the help they can get. come to think of it have you ever ran a raid with a full team of Warlocks only, now that's some fun.
-
Lol need a hunter? Why? I love locks, the are amazing in raids imo
-
Warlocks are still very useful. People just focus on tether and bubble because they are huge support to he team as a whole and their dps. Voidlocks are great for dealing with captains, stormlocks are great for dealing with ads in other parts and people forget that sunsingers have Vikings funeral fusion nades that make the boss take more damage and can stack with tether.
-
Run Viking Funeral on your Warlock. Stacks 3X. Really adds to the DPS on bosses.

1 ReplyThey should leave warlock the way it is and just buff the hunter. Night stalker may not need work. But gunslinger and blade dancer do.
I hope to someday end the war between hunters and warlocks. Finally bringing hunters to a better state may help them not be nerf crying as much.
I use lfg a lot. People are not getting good at the raids

Warlock with the right settings on sunsinger in essence does melting pot with everything that's set on fire. So grenades and melee will burn, allowing whole fireteam to deal crit damage while it's burning. Complement that with radiance and tossing about 8-12 grenades. That's a lot of time that something can be crit.

Any helpful guardian want to help us with the last code for Outbreak prime? Just need a warlock will take 5 mins, if you can add OGxTrixx, thanks for reading

12 RepliesHow is stormtrance OP? It has a long activation and gets no additional armor. Sure, Ionic Blink covers a lot of ground and it kills fast, but it loses out to power weapons and other supers all the time. I'm not even that good at PvP and I have no problem handling any warlock using the super. The only time I die from it is when they blind side me.

Personally don't raid or play Crucible, any nerfs should not affect PVE!
-
If people really are getting as good at the raid as you say, then people should be able to play on whatever class they want.
