Well bungie, this is it. The game is stale, even playing casually its already dry. "Oh god, Another one of these posts, just go kys scrub! We don't need ya!" Actually, bungie does need me, you see, losing one causes a chain that loses more and more people, I'm just one of many who have already quit, again... And the more they lose, the worse the status of this beta gets.
Now that we have that out of the way, let me start the reason this post was made, there will be nothing... NOTHING to play, iron banner is another rehash, trials is literally a lag fest that isn't worth it anymore, the challenge modes only come in 2s... and give you just... lol.. a token to make your armor look as it was portrait on the trailers (False advertisement ftw! Remember the days of iron gear? Well! You get it...) The festival of the cost was a complete waste of resources, time, and potential to hide its primary focus of wringing out more cash out of the eververse whales who decided to want all that was shown considering you only gave us 3 shots to get ANYTHING out of the festival... And even with SRL it concerns me deeply it'll be another cash grab...
With that aside, "Cya next year" Yes, I am not truly leaving, but may never really come back... Destiny II has been confirmed and is set for a next year release date, and will I come back? We'll see, we will see. We will all see, there were rumors that activision has lent bungie 2 studios to help with the making of destiny II and yeah it was confirmed, look it up, I really am not in the mood to look up stuff you could do yourself, that sounds promising... but... lets face it, they had...4 years? To work on destiny as a core game and look how that turned out, they have 2 years this time... Do the math there.
Right now we don't know whats coming and yeah, i could've just prebashed but hey... I'll take the word over a screen shot and a mini clip showing the "Test Builds" of "Deimos" and "Europa" There could be more, but oh wait...according to people..its fake! Everything bungie could possibly show promise with is either failure at a severe angle and why? Lets head on over to the second part of the title...
Preordering... 3 words guys, "DONT DO IT!" Dont preorder the game! Destiny had over a million preorders one year prior to release... and did you see where it went to? A 3 year long beta with paid DLC that was literally just stuff in the game that they unlocked with the access purchases... taken king felt like an actual DLC... but that was it.
Guys preordering kills a lot... and I do mean.. a lot of potential in games, all due to creators seeing they have sold 500k-1mil copies before they even print the discs...so they can take as much out of the game as they want, recently I played and refunded "Recore" a similar scenario... They cut out content, had no story and basically had 100k copies preordered before the discs were printed... and thanks to the director of FF15 he described the process of them printing the discs takes 2 months...
So heres what i propose...please guys, for the fate of destiny II please... Don't preorder until atleast 2 weeks before the release... if you want to show activision and bungie what it means to finish and not cut out things for later packaging? Please.. Don't preorder until 2 weeks before, let them print the discs with their intents and not give them time to be greedy and just keep repeating the history of the game... And even though activision is giving them further studios to help them due to CoD losing its allure to people it doesn't mean that what they promise will come to truth.
So will I come back? 2 weeks, after the release, after I see what the result is, what the finished product is and if their main focus is DLC and crucible focus... then you won't see me again.
Alright....now, lets see who read and who didn't...
Edit: I'm sorry I couldn't save most of you, by the looks of this post, we'll have another 3 year long beta. All in all, if we do, I can say thank you for saving me the 60 bucks.
Edit 2: Btw, Idk what this TL:DR thing is... maybe its a way to avoid you reading the important parts. Guess I should've cranked up the bright eyes to give my personal flavor to your ignorant riddled comments... If you don't wanna read, comment and sign off, you only further the problem that this game presented 2 years ago... To you all calling my comment about activision facing problems with investors and forcing a studio to help bungie with destiny II, Heres the link. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/10/09/3-big-problems-facing-activision-blizzard.aspx And to those wondering about my argument with the preodering? http://kotaku.com/stop-preordering-video-games-1713802537 And to any further issues with you finding liable info from multiple sources, please go to youtube and look up boogie2988 and look for his rant on preordering games. Teach yourselves, I do not have the power to hold your hands like your mother does. I literally had to open another tab, and look these 2 links up over the course of 20 seconds... As for me though, I will make a similar post somewhere down the line, maybe 5 months when they make the first teaser trailer, warning you all one last time. And if you all don't listen to the facts... I will never return, and so will the numerous others that are on the same boat as me...

I'm preordering right now!! I just can't get my wallet out fast enough.
-
2 RepliesCame here because you linked it. Buying D2 and a bunch of merch. Suck it OP

I am commenting without reading.
Don't tell me what to do.
1 ReplyI'm pre-ordering three, just because of your post. You don't like it, you're welcome to leave. Don't tell me what to do though. Two and a bit years, hardly any money spent, thousands of hours of play. I don't know what people expect,I really don't.
-
1 ReplyWhat, you want me to read your post if i want to comment? well I commented without reading your post. How does that make you feel?
-
22 RepliesYou played Destiny for 708 hours and that's if you didn't delete any characters. This is just another rant by another baby. Don't get me wrong Bungie has made plenty of mistakes. Constantly whining about every single thing without any real criticism is a waste. Unfortunately you give yourself way more credit then you're ever going to get. The reality of the situation you've already spent your money and you quitting isn't going to hurt anyone. Sorry but there with be a new generation of people spending money on this game and there are plenty who dump a ton of dollars into eververse now just look on YouTube "100 radiant treasure box opening". I think we definitely need to let Bungie know what we would like from this game. But at the end of the day it's a game, it's entertainment, 708 hours of it.

4 RepliesWtf I'm obviously preordering. I paid such a tiny amount of money for the thousands of hours of enjoyment I have gotten and continue to get. There is no chance I'm not getting destiny 2, and there is no chance I'm not mashing the preorder button at least twice the second it's available. As, I assume, will tons of other people. GTFO.

1 ReplyToday I got sad... I haven't played much because of BF1 and I decided to come back, well pretty much like you said is true, I do not enjoy Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris is pretty much cancer. And I personally don't feel HM WoTM is worth it. I'm truly sad that I can't get no more enjoyment, this used to be the only game I played. My Xbox and PS4 time is ridiculous. I dunno I just wanted to share my feelings. This feels like an empty shell of a game, maybe it's because crucible is horrible and PvE has nothing to offer. I hope they learn from Destiny and improve.
-
8 RepliesGood idea, it's just sad that no one will listen to you because they can't be bothered to read a text that's more than three sentences long. Activi$ion will probably make it really pay to win because people like to pay money to have less of an experience(yay, paid for weapons that remove all the challenge!). I really wish companies would make their games better instead of shorter and pay to win when the sales are high. Because surely a good game would make more money in the long run than a mediocre game would make from preorders in the first day and the occasional person buying it from not knowing it's bad, right?

I'm sure it's been said many times already, but I'll say it again; Bye Felicia

4 RepliesWell hell, if this guy quits, might as well fold up shop and quit as well.
-
3 RepliesTotally with you... I just got a restriction from crucible for one week. 2 years of commitment and love for the game gone by just reading that msg that popped up. I don't cheat, I don't lag, regardless of what people say I'm an honest person with backing of friends and clan mates, I brought 20/30 people back to destiny for rise of iron. Now I'm gunna take them all away as they play for me when I'm on. The knock on effect is legit. Bungie don't care about anyone but themselves! No customer support, they ignore all people, we employ the -blam!-s by buying their game!!
-
8 RepliesYou lost me at the part where you said "kys scrubs"
-
Skyrim is on One/4 now. And the new Division stuff looks cool. I'll be on ESO and replaying Red Dead
-
Destiny 2? .... completed it bro!
-
It's not illegal to play another game when you get bored.
-
1 ReplyStill gonna pre-order regardless. So... :/
-
1 Reply-blam!- the police, I didn't read a single word before posting this comment.
-
Bump. Very insightful post OP.
-
4 RepliesYou realize that it's actually ok to play other games, right? That Destiny, as it comes into its third year is going to be light on content, right? That after two full years of playing similar things, you are going to be naturally burned out...right? Not sure why you needed to write a monologue on this one. Smells of entitled behavior.
-
2 RepliesWow... If this was only a 3 year long beta like you said it was.... I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE FULL GAME IS GONNA BE LIKE!!!!!! CANT WAIT TO PREORDER FINAL GAME.
-
5 RepliesDidn't read. Still commenting. Your rules mean nothing to me.
-
I do not agree with you. Your entitled to your opinion. It sounds like you played and got burnt out. It happens fast with most games. You may have played this one longer then that?
-
8 RepliesSorry man, Destiny is my favorite game. I preordered the ghost edition and would do it 10 times over if I had the chance. It's not bungie's fault you don't like their content. They don't make it for you and therefore they don't need you. Bungie makes games they like to play, it was their slogan for a long time. The majority of us like to play also, which is a benefit to them. The number one problem with destiny is that it's too good. It's so good we want to play it every day but we don't have content with longevity enough to be able to do that, but I digress, the game is simply too fun for its own good. Please leave, don't post on the forums and don't put destiny back in your console. You're toxic. Video games are meant for people to have fun, the moment you stop having fun you need to take a deep look inside yourself and ask what you're really sad about.

Edited by Raver2003: 11/8/2016 7:00:16 PMWhat Bungie has to do is learn how to constantly jazz the game up. its as simple as raising a child: the more you give it to eat, the more it eats. The more it eats, the less it has to eat. when it runs out of things to eat, it leaves you. (you guys do the metaphor math) anyways, what they should do, is hire a dedicated subgroup that has two subgroups in that, one that comes up ideas for the following week, and one that makes the actual guns and armor for the weekly update. new perks made weekly, new gear weekly, new stuff constantly!! this is what they need! new content is great and they need that to, but they need constant new stuff just as much.
