Time to take a break from Destiny.
To everyone about to read this and make a comment saying no one cares, there's no need. I state in the title what it's about so if you don't think it's relevant to you move right along.☺️
I've been playing this game actively since day 1. I'm currently light 400, I've completed the book, my grimoire is 5435. I've been loyal to this game for a long time but now the grind has gotten a bit much, and there's not much left to do except continue to grind for grimoire. Not only that the competitive side has gotten out of hand. I hope I come back to a game where primaries are just as utilized as specials. It's obviously not a game that can ever please everybody due to its large variety of abilities and weapons and I understand that. I wish everybody luck and I'll be back for SRL.
To everyone saying Iron Banner and Aksis Challenge, I am aware of them. However, I have gotten a good roll for the Iron Banner weapons that I deem alright, and Aksis challenge will come back. Since I'm already at the highest I can get on my warlock, and considering my Titan could be 400 and my hunter near that. I have several other games to play such as Skyrim SE and Battlefield 1. And once SRL comes back,I'll be back for a long time, trying to bump my grimoire up further.
All of the feedback has been enlightening. Keep it up.

1 ReplyI don't see the issue. It would be kind of ridiculous to just play one game for the rest of your life. Like there are a few of you guys on the form who expect Destiny to be everything and I really don't get that. Go replay Skyrim. Try Modern Warfare. Maybe Battlefield 1? Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy are going to be out soon

Been a few days already doing the same you said, time to play other games, return to CGD, finish those prestige's... Waiting for the 28th final fantasy on the way, then play it until Destiny 2 comes out ☺️

3 RepliesThis is nothing new. When you rush through the content too fast, you get burnt out. No hate from me. I'm at 399 and I still horde exotic engram since I don't want to hit 400 on all my characters too fast. But yeah, no more patrol quests for me. I only care to do the hard raid, challenge modes, trials, IBM, and the occasional supremacy or clash crucible weekly bounties.

We don't have much to look forward to in year 3. The live events are pretty much garbo. Let's hope the rumors about the Destiny 2 engine are true and its a lot easier to develop content for them in the future. I will always come back to Destiny. But, I don't feel any obligation to the game during its content droughts. I do believe they are learning from their mistakes and D2 will be to this franchise what Halo 2 was to that one, and hopefully beyond.

Playing MW multi-player, Infinite Wars campaign, and GoW4 campaign atm. Tomorrow I'll be back for iron banner as I didn't get the pulse rifle or scout last time. That and I feel pvp is the best way to up light levels compared to rare af skeleton keys.

Ive been playing the killing floor 2 beta and titan fall 2. Its nice to take a break. That being said im going to grind the ever living blam out of iron banner to hit 400.

Yup im the same max light all 3 have more 400 weapons and armor and nothing to infuse them into after aksis challenge and god roll clever dragon i will be done for a while,srl and grimiore have no appeal to me what so ever see you for D2

I go through phases with this game. I play it exclusively, then drop off for a good rpg. After this IB tomorrow, I'll be dusting off the PS3, I FINALLY found a copy of Kingdom Hearts 2.5......that'll keep me busy for a while.
