Time to take a break from Destiny.
To everyone about to read this and make a comment saying no one cares, there's no need. I state in the title what it's about so if you don't think it's relevant to you move right along.☺️
I've been playing this game actively since day 1. I'm currently light 400, I've completed the book, my grimoire is 5435. I've been loyal to this game for a long time but now the grind has gotten a bit much, and there's not much left to do except continue to grind for grimoire. Not only that the competitive side has gotten out of hand. I hope I come back to a game where primaries are just as utilized as specials. It's obviously not a game that can ever please everybody due to its large variety of abilities and weapons and I understand that. I wish everybody luck and I'll be back for SRL.
To everyone saying Iron Banner and Aksis Challenge, I am aware of them. However, I have gotten a good roll for the Iron Banner weapons that I deem alright, and Aksis challenge will come back. Since I'm already at the highest I can get on my warlock, and considering my Titan could be 400 and my hunter near that. I have several other games to play such as Skyrim SE and Battlefield 1. And once SRL comes back,I'll be back for a long time, trying to bump my grimoire up further.
All of the feedback has been enlightening. Keep it up.

14 RepliesEven if we did pay $30 for 1 month of content, that's still a hell of a lot more you would get out of a lot of other games people will buy for more then $30, please tell me what other console games can you put more then 5 hours into every day for 1 month? Not including CoD and BF.

3 RepliesI understand a lot of people here asking, why even post this, if you are going to leave just do it... However, I actually think this stuff needs to be posted, because the underlying reason behind it is because we all just paid $30 for 1 month worth of content. Maybe less than a month because most of us, at least myself and probably this guy had all content beat in the first week and were around light level 385 by week 1. Around 390 after 3 weeks and the fact that you level so easily means you're right back on the hamster wheel. That's why these posts matter.

Well done EA. If only Activision/bungie where to care about players voice and actually stick to a single development team for a game. They might come out with quality stuff again..

No one- just kidding. Go ahead, take a break. There's nothing telling you that Destiny should be the only game you play. I've been playing since the beta, and currently, I'm between Destiny and The Division. Sometimes it's good to play different games, it makes everything refreshing when you return.

I'd like to take a break but my only other games for PS (because I switched consoles) are: Fallout 4, Grand Theft Auto 5, Thief's end, and Destiny. My issues are the lack of replay ability in Fallout and Thief's end, but GTA is still fun... sorta.

BF1 and Rainbow 6 siege are my fallback games. I still love playing pvp on destiny but I am content with giving it a well needed break as well

There is so much wrong with this game ATM (cheaters, latency, bugs, dwindling population, etc), but Bungie only cares about their microtransactions and it's more evident than ever. Looks like I might be playin that new/rehash CoD.... you see what I've resorted to now? Up yours Bungie

I don't know why it is treated like the be all and end all of an individuals gaming experience. Play it, get bored, take a break (or leave), come back (or don't). No need to make a big deal over it.

The main thing for me is in year one, you had VoG, Crota's End, and Skolas to keep us (PvE) happy and they were all relevant. TTK was great for about 4 months for me. After that I kept raiding to get to 320. April update while free, was just sad. RoI is decent, but too small for me really. Year one had so much more to do, year two and three are just one thing and it gets stale. I'll be buying Destiny 2 for sure, but I'm just about done with this game for now. Got Titanfall 2 and XCOM 2 now, getting FF 15 when that arrives.
