SPOOKY TRIALS DOES NOT SUCK
If spooky trials "takes no skill" or is "too easy" THEN WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING! If it's so easy go flawless 547384783 times then. I personally love this new form of trials, and I know I'm not alone on this. It takes communication and strategy, something a competitive skill based game mode should take. The problem is that people hate change. Anything bungie does gets sh** on by people because they changed something. Trials was changed as a Halloween event, giving bungie the chance to try something new without risking anything. But looks like people are still upset

I love it. True elimination. The only thing I don't like is the fact there's still that red outline. I'd love to see it go away.

I like how it's easier to be stealthy. Me and my friends followed one guy for a long time without noticing. Another time we jumped on these things up high and they never knew what hit them.

1 ReplyIt sounds like these streamers need to adapt.... Anyways no radar=/=random. It means that you have to actually give a shit about map awareness and not offload all of it onto the top left of your screen. Swat and Search and Destroy only seem "random" if you suck at paying attention and they are considered some of the best competitive game modes. This also opens the door to include more gameplay features. Patch in better footstep and sprinting sounds as those are really the only problems right now. Then you can mess with armor perks that dampen your sounds, maybe add some way to generate Reach style holograms so you can confuse your foes, or an ability that lets you throw your sounds so that you make your foes think you're bum rushing from one area and really you're crouch walking from the other side.

I love the no revive idea, but the radar has to get back on, to much camping in the corner with the shotty ready.

56 RepliesIt absolutely does. Luck based trials. Will his back be turned? Am I hidden in a good corner? Does my shader match the wall behind me so they'll walk by and I can get cheap, easy shotgun kills? Must go back to how it was and stay that way

Shotguns are enough of a problem, especially in a game where sound whoring is impossible. Can have no sound whoring and no radar.

7 RepliesYes, it does. Why? - Trials should be about skill. It isn't skill when there is luck involved. And there DEFINITELY is more luck involved without the Radar. - Destiny doesn't really work without the Radar. It's an essential part of this game in both PvE/PvP. You cannot rely on sounds, line of sights or map position like you can do in games like Counterstrike and Battlefield. - People can close distances too fast with sprints ans superhigh and fast jumps and can rush you with OHK weapons, tracking nades, Supers, Overshields, OHK Melees, etc. You cannot counter that good enough without relying on sounds, line of sights, map positions or...the Radar. - The current Meta is awful for a no Radar mode. Shotguns everywhere. Next to no one uses his goddamn Primary. - Lag caters to modes without Radar. - Inferno is shit, who plays Inferno?

The idea is good but the game just isn't ready for a lack of radar. We don't have enough audio information and if they are going to put some inferno rules they should just put them all in. It's basically all shotguns, not that it is any different when there is radar, but it's amplified without it because of how fast you can close gaps. Fix the bullshit that is sticky nades, pull special ammo, and you'll actually see team work be more important with team shots
