Stumbled across a two man fireteam on heroic strikes. The whole time they were sitting down and not doing anything until I received a message from one of them saying "Leave". I didn't reply and I left because I didn't wanna waste my time. But the question is why do people do this? I was just trying to raise my light level. I was the only one who was actually doing something. And it wasn't the omnigul strike, I doubt they will be farming for something on the cabal strike.

20 RepliesProbably because their buddy got error codes and punted to orbit and they were waiting for the return. Maybe they were hoping to land the Omnigul Strike for farming purposes. Why are you so concerned that an established fireteam didn't want you (random blueberry) there with them? Go to orbit and find a new fireteam. Pretty simple, no?

5 RepliesSame thing happened to me they asked me if i could back out because their friend got an error code (omnigul farm) i said no thanks I'd prefer to be right at the boss instead of starting a new strike. But if you two would like you can leave.
-
I honestly would have messaged them back saying no, and then proceed to be an absolute annoyance to them with striker and my sparrow until they left and I got someone who actually cared about doing the strike.

1 ReplyThey probably were trying to two man it, but that is a jerk move

Like the comment below mine I would have stayed and just gone AFK for a while. It always works when you get wankers like that.
-
Yes, someone threatened to report me if I didn't leave a strike, like what?
-
I would have sat right in front of them and went outside for a smoke. Then go and have something to eat. Obviously move my controller from time to time.
-
I understand that you didn't wanna waste your time, but honestly if someone told me to just "leave" without asking. I would have just done the whole strike myself or sit down with them and waste their time as well.
-
Maybe they were a three-man fireteam but one of the was sent to the orbit. That happened to me once at the end of a strike. So my friends just waited for the new random guardian to leave so I could join back.
-
Sometimes people lag out, there friends were probably waiting for them to rejoin.
-
Well of course if you walk in on people they'll be annoyed

8 RepliesEvery time I play the fallen SABER I wait for someone to open the door after the Warsat and crush them with my sparrow... over and over and over

Should've of stayed and ruined their day. Had a Hunter do this while doing Alak-hul. I punched him once in the head and got the point and out of knowhere started making motes of light like there was no tommorow lol. The other guardian just kept dancing and kept on dying, but got an exotic engram wtf(yep, a Warlock)? Sometimes strikes are a bit uhmm..colorful eh? [⏪⏺⏩|⚪|————¦———| 🔊 ]

I would have rubber banded the controller and watched some tv. Or did the strike solo.
-
4 RepliesThey obviously needed you to leave and you did. What's the problem... you get new teammates and they get an open space. Everyone wins.
So why are you on here complaining?
-
Should have finished the strike without them. Hope you reported them to Bungie and XBox/PS.
-
I would sit there until they left. I did that to a guy in POE and it lasted over an hour before the third person killed the boss. He literally just went and sat in the corner moving his Titan every few minutes to not get booted.

8 RepliesWe only do this when one of my 3 man team gets kicked, and then can't get back in time before it drops a random one in. Me and my other friend just sit down and message the new person and ask them to leave so my friend can rejoin. Sucks getting all the way to the boss, then someone getting kicked and not being able to get their rewards.
-
Sometimes my friends disconnect and a player joins so I ask them if they can leave so my friends can rejoin
-
5 RepliesI know this is not relevant but what type of tamales do you like the most
-
Just send them back a message saying "I'll solo it then" If you really can't then they will leave, you will get better teammates and you won't lose your streak.
-
Most of the time I would literally do strikes myself than with randoms because of that very reason
-
They were probably trying to shoot a p*rno. I wouldn't worry about it, it's quite common. "2 Guardians, 1 Acolyte."
-
At least they didn't waste your time. I did some strikes a few days ago. Three times had people sit AFK. Two times had people whose definition of fun was trying, and badly failing, to hit me with Sparrows. Finally got a good fire team and actually made some progress.
