So as you might know, the Titanfall 2 Tech Test happened last weekend (and will happen again next weekend), and a lot of people who played the first game were, well, pretty pissed off (myself not included).
There were a lot of changes made from the first game that frankly didn't make a whole lot of sense. Most of them felt like they were changing things for change's sake. So what does Respawn do in response to the backlash?
Addresses and fixes almost every major problem people had and even explained why some of the more questionable changes were made. Gg Respawn, keep it up.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 8/28/2016 6:07:19 AMRespawn seems to have forgotten what everyone loved about titanfall 1, though. Titan combat then was totally fine, just needed more Titan types and weapons. They made an interesting but maybe bad change with the battery and shielding system, which I so far, don't like. It rewards team play and coordination which is great, but terribly punishes those who don't. To the very least though, a Titan shouldn't drop in with just a health bar and no shields. Especially if it has a battery that gives other Titans shields. Dome shield needs to be a built in perk not a selectable perk like it was in titanfall 1. The maps are significantly smaller and there are not enough grunts and specters to make it feel as fast paced as the first.

1 ReplyNot getting Titan fail second chances Unless it drastically changes I'll stick to battlfield

6 RepliesThis is my first game I've ever played from Respawn (never had an Xbox to play the first Titanfall), but I am seriously impressed with them so far. It's insane what they were able to change in a single week - they fixed almost every single one of my complaints.
-
Whereas Bungie would take months to even acknowledge a problem... Smh...
-
Bungie?... Are you taking notes?.... No? Thought so.

4 RepliesEdited by Sorana3: 8/26/2016 10:00:16 PMWhile I sadly can't play the Tech Test and have no idea what changes people are so angry about, I will say this. Titanfall's multiplayer was perfect. It felt amazing. And I don't want to see Respawn hurt that just because they think things should be changed for no other purpose than to keep things 'fresh'. Don't change the formula, only add to it.

1 ReplyPlease for the love of God! Give us a good story!

Better than sterbreeze/overkill on console
-
Wouldn't have had to fix much if they made titanfall 2 and not "call of duty with a hint of mech"

4 RepliesEdited by Nanor: 8/26/2016 2:08:07 PMMeanwhile it takes Bungie 2 full years to give us private matches. gg bungo

3 RepliesYou have respawn in less than a week they have fix a majority of issues then you have bungie who take the better half of a year to fix most issues
-
I am enjoying it, it's a really fun shooter

1 ReplyAs far as I know, mech games on ps4 are kinda rare. So it's nice to have one coming out soon. I did play they test though and I'm sad at how little their role is, at least in the test. Maybe it will be different in the full release. Also, the pilot mechanics, movement and gunplay, seem awfully similar to a certain other fps. I did not play the first TF, but I'm assuming the mechanics were better then?

Played the mech test today . Thought it was ok, nothing special . Wouldn't buy it at full price for sure .

Still think they need to make some major changes before release. TTK is still way too fast. Carbine needs to be overhauled massively. Getting killed players using it outside of it's intended usage range. The Grappling Hook needs to be made available to all character types, not just the robots. It may be just me but it seems that the robot avatars are faster than the humans. If that is true, then the bots need a major nerf.

5 RepliesI never got to play Titan Fall 1 (by the time i got an Xbox One the game was a barren wasteland, tutorial was ok i guess) but i really enjoyed the 5 matches i put into Titan Fall 2 (didn't have much time to play it). I'm still debating if it's worth $60 though.

played 3 games of Titanfall 2 absolutely hated it and cancelled my order
-
I was pissed they got rid of the standard wall hang and made it a perk

Edited by Edgin Mor: 8/27/2016 8:58:37 AMThey got so much wrong with that map and these mechanics. Stopped me from ordering. Made the same mistake with star wars battlefront...

3 RepliesTitanfall 2 looks rad. I never bought the first one, but I may be picking this one up.

Comes forth the bungie is bad jokes
-
2 RepliesI never played the first one, but after spending some time with the tech test this past weekend, I'm interested in the sequel - I'll probably come back this weekend and play the new stuff. I'm currently trying to decide between this and BF1 for my Fall shooter.

6 Replies*Insert text stating, "Maybe Bungie should learn from these guys" because I think, for some reason, that Bungie is the only company that doesn't listen to the players*

Titanfall tops my all time worst game investment ever. $60, and I couldn't even play for 2 hours.

I'm having fun with the tech test
