They also need slower handling time. If shotguns can get that, so can snipers .

Then getting headshotted while running or jumping with a shotgun out should cancel your sprint or jump.

That's why MIDA was so hated, because it could actually counter snipers, but now that the high impact rounds were nerfed, the only thing that can actually flinch snipers is red death, which isn't currently a top tier weapon.

Must be lag he most likely killed you before you shot and his shot just registered late. I know for a fact that when snipers get shot at it flinches a lot to the point where i cant aim at people so i just ended up using a shotgun. With this games bad netcode half the stuff that happens in crucible does not make sense.

4 RepliesActually my complain is not about the flinch, usually people are lucky. I've noticed that if you land quick repeated head shots with a scout, you can kill a sniper without trouble. Sometime luck will be against you and the sniper will dome you. I've noticed 1 head shot and then followed by body shot or if u take time to line up another shot, the sniper usually -blam!-s you up. It's annoying getting domed while shooting someone with primary but ill admit that only happens 25% of the time. My real complaint is the classic quick draw body shot and hand cannon combo. That is really annoying. That is what really makes sniper viable in close to mid range and is super annoying. Even realkrafty does it.

Not impossible, just extremely difficult. This could be achieved by randomising the direction of flinch more.

10 RepliesI totally agree. Yeah, the snipers can keep their quickscopes, but the complete lack of flinch is really ridiculous—the point of a sniper is that the scope looks so far away that even the littlest flinch changes your view by a lot, but that doesn't happen.

Just reduce AA so when being shot, it can't pull the reticle back to the head. That's ALL that needs to be fixed. Doesn't mess with pve and reduces pvp aggravation. Simple.

Snipers are overused and so is MIDA. I have no Psychic abilities whatsoever but based on complaint patterns and the way Bungie does "balancing" they're going to look at their charts and see these 2 weapons (High Impact Snipers & Mida) as the majority & they or going to nerf them into oblivion like they have for over 2 years now. I really hope I'm wrong but...

There are players who spend hours a day working on their game, so to speak. They are "sweaty" and whatever changes are made to gameplay, they're experts at adapting. Some people work really hard to be good at all this stuff. It seems to me there's not going to be any change to the gameplay that makes these sweaty players less able to dominate against casual players. Whatever change is made, they'll find the most efficient way to slay the rest of us and continue to dominate. So if you don't wish to be one of these players, or don't have the time to be one, why all the yammering about changing this or changing that? Notice, I'm speaking about them, and so on. A quick click on my Gamer Tag and my 0.8 K/D Ratio will let you know I'm not talking about me. But Destiny is a social game, and I enjoy the company I keep within the game so I have fun... even if there are games where I get skunked like a total Noob. Noa

They should make it so getting hit by a headshot while scoped will descope you, but a body will not. Also nerf sniper body damage.
