So I got The First Curse today and love it. It's such a smooth looking weapon and that spin though. So I currently am using a 1k yard as my special so if I body shot with the sniper rifle, I can QuickDraw my TFC to finish the job. I was also thinking that since two headshots does 190 damage (which is kinda aggravating, lol), using a sidearm with QuickDraw to finish off that little bit might work well too. What do you guys think the best special would be for this gun and why?

Got myself some good reload gauntlets sinse i run lightweight with it (i know i know, quickdraw and soeed reload are better but that's my playstyle)

2 RepliesToss grenade, aim for headshot. Easy kill... 1 year later, still works.
-
9 RepliesGet a fusion. Trust me. You. Will. Shred.
-
4 RepliesIt kills lowest armor enemies. Even though that's like 1% of hunters run that it still technically can two shot.

4 Replies1000 yard stare is a cancer in this game

1 ReplyDoes anyone know if Eysaluna 2 shots with Luck in the Chamber?

4 RepliesEdited by Mango: 8/4/2016 5:01:00 PMI kinda despise you just a little bit with the body shot tactic. But since you're a first curse user, it's cool. Lol any special can really do good, however a fusion rifle I wouldn't say can work to well with the first curse considering they both take a certain amount of time to kill. Shotgun for those titans skating to you. Sniper-my set up- long range game with sniper, close up I'll get my 2 headshots an finish that guy with a body shot with the first curse, it's just that simple. Side arm- 2 head shots, swap.

1 ReplyMake a headshot .melee. Make a headshot ,throw a knife in their face. Make 2 headshot, low armor ppl dead.

Edited by Ninja_Lazer: 8/5/2016 12:49:58 PMDon't waste your exotic slot on the TFC. Get a Judith-D with luck in the chamber or crowd control for the damage boost. Body shot then switch to plan C.

Use it in combination with abilities, when you tag someone with a nade first curses impact really shines

1 ReplyEdited by Comphyplane: 8/4/2016 6:09:02 AMI've found that if using a hunter, use lucky raspberry with solar or arc tracking grenades(i use solar) to gain infinite grenades. These grenades usually kill if i can get one head shot. If there are two enemies two body shots in each will usually kill both. Or if your a badass use the classic headshot throwing knife combo

10 RepliesThorn quest was harder. This waa a walk in the park tbh.

3 RepliesI'm using fusion rifles a lot at the minute. If you can, get one with high stability and hip fire. If someone gets too close for you to comfortably use TFC, then switch. If you've landed even one headshot, it should only take three of the seven beams to secure the kill.

24 RepliesIdeally, I'd say you should try priming your target with a grenade and finish them with the HC. Everything is situational and varies on how you like to play.

1 ReplyI like using chain of woe when using First Curse.

5 RepliesYou will be outgunned at long range by snipers and MIDA archetype scouts. You will be outgunned at mid range by Grasp archetype pulses. You will be outgunned by TLW and any decent auto at close range. The First Curse is the only weapon that can compete at any range, but it excels at none. I love the weapon and have been using it almost exclusively since the April update, but am getting tired of getting outgunned by everything else. Unless your opponent is already injured or you can prime them with a grenade or something else, you will lose every time against a skilled opponent wielding a weapon in its intended range.

2 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 8/3/2016 10:35:36 PMA shotgun. TFC is a cleaner/flanker weapon, so it works best if you stay on the move, catch enemies by surprise, and stick near teammates. The weapon's slow RoF means that it'll have a rough time when going head-to-head against skilled players with MIDAS and god roll Pulse Rifles. Not to say TFC is a bad weapon. It can be very good, but it demands such a disciplined playstyle that you need a good, reliable shotgun as you're making your way through the map and looking for some heads to pop.

6 RepliesStill trying to get 7 headshots in crucible lol 5 is my best

7 RepliesI recently got it today, and I use quickdraw on it. I body with a sniper, then body with the first curse. It works well

3 RepliesIf you're a gunalinger throwing knife works

2 RepliesIn my experience, The First Curse pairs really well with Axion Bolts. Throw one at them and shoot them in the head, they'll either get killed by the bolt or the bullet, depending on what hits first.
-
3 RepliesI got mine today also have been pairing with a fusion rifle and it works pretty good. I have even managed to 2 tap a few people that had low armor.

1 ReplyEdited by Drip: 8/3/2016 11:19:48 PMI got a judith-d from gun smith a couple weeks back ( which is some ROF and impact as TFC) and it has final round on it. I prefer to use it over TFC. I haven't tried it in crucibal to see if the final round shot to the head would 1 shot kill.
-
1 ReplyShotgun. First curse cannot compete in close quarters,
-
2 RepliesFirst Curse has a pretty slow fire rate but I think switching weapons is going to take even longer, even with Quickdraw. It's just not practical. Also i'm believe that switching weapons will cause you to lose the TFC buff.
