Let's be 100% honest here, you pick a sworn enemy every crucible match...
Am I lying? There's always 1 guy that just grinds your gears and you have to get him/her
What does it take for you guardian?
Edit: We're trending, nice! A few things I noticed that are fairly common for a lot of us...
-Nobody likes peek-a-boo hard scopers
-Universal Remote is a Universally hated
-Shoulder charging Titans are starting to be hated more than hunters
-Some of us are too cool to have a little in match rivalry apparently
I think a lot of people took the title too literally thinking I meant that you pick one person and one person only to hunt the entire match, now there are some instances that call for this but most of the time it's just a friendly in match rivalry with one person that when you run into them you HAVE to win that gun fight for several of the reasons mentioned in the thread.
At the end of the day it's just a little something extra to get the competitive juices flowing and make matches a little more interesting, nothing more and nothing less

But, what always made me salty in year one are the guys who run the tryhard/lategame gear and after they die about 5 or 6 times to you. When,they finally kill you,they teabag you or taunt you. And then I proceed to stick nads on them. I would say they where all hunters,but usually It was a titan for some reason. Nah,crap Hunter usually just hide in a bush til they get blade dancer active. Warlocks, i dont even know. Usually, they fight dirty. It varies,but usually has to do with someone taunting me.

I don't know how that person does it but they manage to always be there right at the scene as the enemy dies just to kill your low health guardian. The worst part about this is that the person usually manages to kill me even in a 1v1 scenario DESPITE being consistently below your placement in rumble. This is due to the fact that I want the person destroyed so badly that I'm blinded by it and play poorly when it's a single encounter against them. I still win the rumble match usually(or at least above their placement) but it's literally to "justify" myself on "Hah! I won take that!" but deep inside I knew I had already lost.

the loner. the one not sticking to his teams tactics. the one always rushing in with the last word, a shotty, or shoulder charging... or the one guy just sniping...in the same spot everytime. if I see that they stick to a habit I take advantage of it. the only thing that makes me truly single you out the rest of the match...Shotty sliders or warlocks that rush, blink upwards, and shot'n'bop down at you. that tactic annoys the piss out of me. if it happens to me 2x in a match i spend the rest of the match ensuring I have a teammate or 2 standing withing shotty range to finish you the rest of the match.

Happens a lot more to me in world of tanks. If there's someone in the same tank as me I always hunt them down, and if I'm successful I'll type 'THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE' into the chat.

Not every match, but when I do killing that Sod becomes my sole focus of the match.

Edited by Zayas: 7/28/2016 4:59:43 PMThis is true in many cases, but not in every match I'm in. It's a lot more evident when I'm on a custom fireteam, I'm not sure why. And also in much smaller or solo match-ups. It happens usually if I encounter an enemy with the same weapon as me, and I'm competing with him/her to see who's better (TLW for example), or I'm constantly running into the same person (A bane for me or my team), someone who is considerably the best or weakest on the other team, or someone who's just crazy annoying in general. (shotgunner, sniper, leaves salty messages, t-bags, etc.) And occasionally it's an entire fireteam. It could be any combination of that as well. I don't take any of it too seriously, unless it's the last one (especially with t-bagging/emotes), and also sweaty Trials. The one thing I don't get mad with is if people are using "Elite Overpowered PVP weapons", because I have the same opportunity to earn, use, and learn them too. I'll just take that as a challenge, and figure out how to overcome them.

When I get killed over and over with a universal remote I will switch to one myself and u mote them back and aggressively t bag them the rest of the match.

interesting, usually I pick a random gun to play and when I get killed by a different gun too many times that's when I switch to their lodouts and pick them off non-stop :-) usually I get forced to use Mida and quick scope Snipes. The other gun is the Zhalo Supercell so I always have that with me and have an excellent technique of winning against them.

I was on the receiving end of this scenario. No idea what I did, I never t bag, I wasn't using the so called " crutch " weapons. But this guy was determined to kill me. Chased me all over the map, rushing straight at me every time. It was kind of funny.

I'm not sure about anyone else but I always seem to run into the same, random dude over and over again during the match. I won't go after him on purpose; it just happens that way. Most of the time we have a friendly 'Got You Back Muther[b]f[/b]ucker LOL' as we move on from match to match. Had a great time doing this during 3v3, we even Waved across the map in good sportsmanship before we started.
