Do you think Universal Remote has a place in this game?
It's worth noting that Bungie hesitated to include the infamous gun in TTK until months after release.
Was it because they believed the gun wasn't appropriate for what they believed the Destiny Crucible should be?
Or were the devs too lazy to create a new exotic and decided to coin Universal 2.0 a "new" exotic?
I'd love to hear your thoughts below.

I came to vote for other ☻

I think you should be removed from the game, before you can further damage it.
-
Universal Remote is fine. The REAL problem is that so many other primary weapons keep getting nerfed.

Edited by What I Look Like: 7/24/2016 10:32:15 PMNope. Completely makes shotgun balance pointless, and makes the maddening mission to get Chaperone even more pointless. But then again, every shotgun in this game is better than the Chaperone. How does that work? Also, primaries are so shitty. I'm shooting at this guy for 3 years and I don't have special ammo, he runs at me with a sliver of health and demolishes me with a high impact shotty. I don't know if I hate shotguns or snipers more at this point hah. They're both used in the most pathetic ways possible, that's for damn sure.

The Remote doesn't need a nerf. Nothing's ever been done to it specifically, but everything else? Nerfed to the ground. And that's the thing. Nothing's wrong with UR, it's Primaries. Someone on the Crucible team, from a Crucible Radio podcast not too long ago, essentially said: "we wanted people to team shot with their primaries more" when asked about their philosophy behind them. That's -blam!-ed. It's why people used Invective for awhile, and it's why people use the Remote now. They've made primaries so shit that many people opt to not use them.
But we all know Bungie's not gonna do anything about primaries. They're probably just gonna break UR like they did TLW (not to say TLW is bad at the moment) by removing part of it's Exotic perk.
1 ReplyIts because U.R was way underused and was practically a wasted exotic weapon, so they brought it back and people realized that its a really good shotgun, but some people cant handle getting rushed cause they would rather suck on the scope of a sniper and scream when they get a kill, only to be placed 5th on the leaderboard and have your team loose cause you didnr play as good as you should. Even in PvE its still a really good weapon. (Run-on sentence ahead)

You're a clown

Mida, grasp, and TLW are far worse than UR
-
It does more damage than a party crasher. Just take the extra precision damage out of the perk
-
It's fine. People just need something to blame for them dying and UR is the easy target.

4 RepliesThis gun was laughed off as the worst exotic back in year 1. It hasn't changed but suddenly people have started to hate it somehow for no reason. People will always find novel ways to cry and whine.
-
I hardly use it and I think it should stay. Keep in mind, Bungie was also hesitant to add the "almighty" P&T back. They released weapons slowly to keep players coming back, not because there was some Conspiracy Theory-D behind the Universal Remote.
-
Yes i payed for it (60€ vanilla version). Lost too much content already. Dont take more out.

Universal remote - yes it should be in the game Hunters - no

4 RepliesEdited by DSharp018: 7/24/2016 7:28:32 PMIf you run a universal and a sniper then logically you should be very weak to mid range combat. If you run a universal and a sidearm/fusion then you should be weak to long range combat. And if you run double shotgun and run around shoulder charging, you are just asking to be shot down at mid to long range. So balanced.

It's a great way to spot noobs and Crucibabies!

Edited by Crypto -PS4-: 7/24/2016 8:56:16 PMYes! Just because you don't like or feel's it belongs is irrelevant cause it's NOT your call. I'm not crazy about UR either, but i'm not asking for nerds or to be yanked. Just drop your nutz & deal with it!
-
3 RepliesIt just needs a reduced fire rate, then it would be fine.
-
2 RepliesIts fine where it is, its power is map specific
-
1 ReplyThey remove this then they have to remove NLB as well. So shut up
-
2 RepliesUniversal Remote is only the 4th best shotgun in my collection (I have two Party Crashers lol) Many legendary shotguns are easily superior if they have Rifled Barrel or something like that Honestly, I only use it on Pantheon. People need to stop whining and be glad they're not using MIDA or Grasp instead
-
Uni Remote has been in the game since day one. It's fine. Calm down people this gun is NOT Thorn allover again.
-
Just like most other hype weapons, it is fine, just becoming overused... The more you notice it in the respawn delay screen, the more you think its overpowered... Just like other shotguns, once you identify someone using it, keep your distance, back pedal, and shoot em in the face...

"Oh my god! We've run out of things to complain about! The matrix is shattering, ego death imminent! We can't face this reality head on! How can we accept that we aren't MLG! We have to be MLG! OUR MOMMIES SAID SO!"

Did anyone from Bungie design the weapon? Was it in the game at some point? If yes to these both, then yes it's part of the game!
