Honestly, I personally think effective, dominating gameplay with any gun takes skill. Regarding special weapons: -yes, someone can pick up a sniper and, despite having never shot one before, immediately be able to double body someone and get a kill. HOWEVER, it does take practice to beat counter snipers and increased hand-eye target acquisition in order to have the sniping skill of good players, examples include Mtashed, kjhovey, and Mightea Daygon. -yes, it's quite easy to poke a shotgun around the corner and simply pull the trigger for a kill. HOWEVER, many skilless shotgunners often get team-shot'd because they push at the wrong time or are unable to close a gap correctly. It takes a good sense of awareness of ones surroundings in order to properly factor every last detail of an environment as well as its players in order to know what to do in that situation and NOT end up trading or getting team shotted. Notable YouTube shotgunner that I know (most snipe, so...) is a lad called Luminosity. -yes, fusion rifles are able to occupy that niche in between Shotgunning and sniping, meaning that any fool could just point and click in medium range scenarios. HOWEVER, it takes skill to know when to fight and when not to. The problems with fusion rifles are that they have a charge time and also have a sort of gambling aspect regarding their accuracy. They're the pulse rifles of the special weapon category: hit all shots and you win, but missing one or two could mean death. In other words, it isn't hard to outgun a fusion trifler. TL;DR: Stop pissing yourselves over what guns they use. Practice and play better, because there are plenty of people who would have won in your position. [spoiler]I practice a martial art called Judo, and in that sport, we are very up-close and personal with our opponents. As a result, I am comfortable with Shotgunning because I am very in-the-fray.[/spoiler] I am up for discussion, and half waiting for people to call me stupid.

Sniper Rifles kill the pace and fun of this game so damn much. I don't mind hardscoping and all that shit, but at least give us the opportunity to challenge them with Scout Rifles and long range Pulse Rifles..

A few people will agree with me on this, hardscoping isn't a thing. It's how you use a sniper.

I prefer primary gunfights.

I love getting rushed by a shotgunner who can't hear my Fusion charging. Makes me smile every time.

K. When are snipers allowed to be used ? You're not allowed to hardscope or quickscope according to this forum. Almost every map in Destiny is cqc. So please, educate me as to where and how snipers should be used.

Nobody complained about the game being boring during the shot gun hand cannon meta, people just complained about getting killed. Which is what theses babies always complain about, get killed by a weapon or subclasses more than once then its time for a nerf. Hand cannon shot gun meta was insanely fun

Oh yes. Lord of Wolves eats party crashers and CTDs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I initially equipped it out of necessity, but I've come to love its appetite for the tears of twelve-year-olds darting around the map like coked-up chipmunks.
