Anti cheating software.
Back on pc there is one called punk busters it's very effective and keeps cheaters at bay, can you guys implement that in destiny atm there's alot of lag switching going on reporting doesn't stop em, your thoughts?

It would work initially, but not for long. I've seen it in past titles myself. The only REAL solution to cheaters is a HUMAN server admin that watches and can IP ban, short of that, there is no defense.

Battleye in Arma 3 seems to work efficiently. There's many options, its almost as if Bungie prefers loose enforcement

2 RepliesBungie is unaware of the lagging situation because you guys haven't really brought it to their attention. I see a few threads here and there but it's enough for a couple of ninjas to bury so the threads are usually smothered by other threads.

I'll even be willing to pay for a service that is monitored . i know many many people will as well , just to get a fair game.

That's NOT how it works in Destiny though. In Destiny, if you press it and glitch out, the other players will glitch out for you too. So it's pretty mch impossible to kill someone while pressing it.

4 RepliesIs there a lot of lag switching?? I think I see it every once in a while. I say "think" because sometimes it's hard to separate what's lag and what's lag switching. I play crucible just about everyday, even if it's one or two games. I would say rarely do I see lag switching.

If I recall, punkbuster only works on hacks that ran in the background when your playing a game. It didn't allow other programs to run at the same time you are playing a game. Lag switching isn't a program, it is simply a device that messes with the internet connection. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I having gamed on a pc in years.

Ok so what I understand he sees Someone hold the lag switch head shot with a sniper and let go of the Botton quickly. Wow that explains a lot in Destiny when I get sniped behind cover.

I can't really tell because I refuse to play crucible anymore :/ at this point I feel people force themselves to play crucible for gear and the streamers on twitch do it for obvious reasons

Honestly how much of lag is actually people intentionally doing things to manipulate the system and how much is actual lag just from natural internet connections? The guy below said about manipulating bandwidth by putting a lot of devices on the router. I just noticed that too. Sometimes I'll be mid match and lose focus and watch engine rebuild videos on YouTube on my phone or motocross videos. Then once I look back at the tv I'm red bar or yellow bar. Although to be fair this isn't an advantage for me because when this happens I'm usually just standing still at spawns not playing. Basically what I'm saying is if be interested how much lag is due to bonafide cheating and how much is just naturally going to occur from internet connections
