Iron Banner = Let the laggers Win?
Again IB is here and again players in a...... wait for it..... CBMM game.... have to put up with those 2-3 players on the opposing team who are racking up kills cuz u just cant kill them. How is this freakin possible. Why are the people who pay a hefty price for quality internet getting shat on for those who dont. Its a -blam!-ing joke. Connection based my ass.

Bruh, there was this titan in a game that would be fully able to move and shoot but wouldn't take some damage. For example, I precision sniped him, I got the sound and his head flinched back, but he didn't die. He just ran up and started punching somebody on my team. This happened multiple times, including me landing two headshots and a body with my hand cannon yet still losing the gunfight because two of them didn't proc.

3 RepliesWait! So people are still lagging in a CBMM game mode? I thought only SBMM did this. Is this why I, as a solo .8 kd player, get matched up against a fireteam from Resolute in IB? Gimme back SBMM if this what CBMM looks like. In fact, I may not play PvP at all if this is the case...

All week I've had zero issues with red bars. Seen non really. Games have been nice and even and haven't been stressed out. However.... Today has been an absolute shit storm. Red bars EVERYWHERE. Honestly it's so bad I had to quit. I'm not the best at pvp so I don't usually quit because I can still get loot at the end regardless but not today. I could feel the rage building up inside of me. Shooting people and they're taking no damage. Melee a guy with a slither of health and he still doesn't die. Getting shot behind walls numerous times. Nova bombed 2 people right in front of me whilst they just stood there and killed me with Hawkmoon and they didn't even flinch. The horrors. Instead of going crazy I just closed the game down. Tomorrow is another day. It's really not worth getting angry over.

I see it happen a lot where a player Is lagging and taking damage than it seems like their connection is just lost. Their character just runs in a straight line into a wall and just gets stuck there running but not dying or taking anymore damage. Another thing i hate is starting an Iron Banner match missing people. Playing a game and having people leave is one thing but the match starting without having a full lobby is dumb.

1 ReplyI haven't really noticed much in the way of Lag being much of a problem, but I have had shit luck with join in progress. Being dropped into a game that has already been lost, spawning in, and immediately being supered or Shoulder Charged is infuriating. Especially when the large majority of the games you have played were join in progress losses that you couldn't do anything to save.

4 RepliesI don't claim to be God's gift to the crucible but the inconsistencies with connections is ridiculous. One game the gameplay appears to be balanced and the next I will get killed with 1-2 shots from a primary or experience a delay with shooting someone when I know I pulled the trigger first. And it's not my internet connection. And all my characters are 335 since "power matters"....

Got shot dead by a guy that was jumping around and not looking at me. Got shot dead by a Titan that I shotgunned and melee'd in a surprise. Shoulder charged a warlock only to be killed with one melee that I could see. Lag makes everyone else better.

16 RepliesMy biggest problem is inconsistency in matchmaking. One game I have a 2.36 kd and the next is a .6 or .4 something. I understand everyone has a bad game every now and then but when you go from being able to kill to not being able to get kills it's extremely frustrating. Very inconsistent garbage and red bars everywhere. I've got a buddy of mine that when I'm in a fire team with him it seems like my connection suffers. It's gotten to the point where I don't even play in the crucible with him anymore which is a shame.

I recently moved to a new (temporary, thankfully) apartment where my connection is crap, and I've been staying off the crucible/IB for this very reason. I just feel so dirty because you can tell when you get those kills, and it really is unfair.

Exactly right. Playing with a fireteam of 5 or 6 i noticed it was absolutely fine, connection wise. Other two days I've played solo, terrible and like you said, at least 1 or more red bars and players that either move super fast (abnormally fast) in running, melee and take less damage, or glitchy players that simply appear and disappear. The worst part is that they don't address it, Bungie that is. Running on 110 down and 8 up internet, it's not my connection to Destiny. And most of the time in normal crucible things are better than IB, so something specifically is wrong with Iron Banner.
