To all stormcallers out there
For exotic gear what do you typically use?
Im stuck between the ram or the impossible machines. Claws of ahamkara could be good as well
Stat wise im leaning toward disc/str build but was curious as to what others are using?
Also, is electrostatic mind bugged? Is it worth picking up with low intellect?
Thanks for your support

I use claws because of that insane reach they get when you extend Melee range.

I use Light Beyond Nemesis with a 5-5-1 or 5-5-0 build. I thought about going intellect/strength but I just run feedback instead.
-
In a PvE I use Grasps while in PvP I use Impossible Machines. The Ram is honestly more useful on a Voidwalker than a Stormcaller

It makes a huge difference Also you want to be going for max strength. Personally I build 3-3-5. If I'm sniping I play with the ram and if I'm shot gunning I play claws of ahamkara. Landfall isn't all that great in my opinion since you can just melt them quickly anyway. Go with ionic blink. This is just an example to show you the difference they make, if you're using the one which shortens super cooldown, if you are near 2 people and u have max intellect, it has a 2:45 cooldown. I think for a 0 intellect build it gives it a 5:00 cooldown, but yea it is quite significant, obviously you want to run storm grenade by the way due to the crowd control and zoning.

I run with Impossible Machines. Tier 5 Intellect Tier 5 Discipline Tier 1 Strength Perks: Storm Grenade Rising Storm Transcendence Arc Web

I use impossible machines.

3 RepliesI use impossible machines so I can run ionic blink. I enjoyed ahamkara claws with Monte Carlo, but I wouldn't recommend running it with transcendence cause I'm pretty sure it won't activate unless you have both melee charges
-
The only exotic I use with stormcaller is impossible machines. There's not many good options for that subclass specifically with exotics
-
I personally run a int/disc build with ionic blink for PvP and superconductor for PvE, I use transcendence for both. I try to use Impossible machines but I have a strength roll... So I usually run with Voidfang Vestements for PvP and Light Beyond Nemesis/Apotheosis Veil for PvE.

2 RepliesEdited by xGRAWREAPERx: 7/6/2016 9:17:08 PMStormcaller: Activate -rising storm (melee hits charge super/grenade/melee) -perpetual charge(melee kills charge grenade and vice versa) -transendance (slower ussage of energy for super plus health restore with full melee and grenades) Use claws of ahkmara (momentum tranfer grants bonus melee energy on grenade hits plus the whispers....no explanation needed)with one of these: -bad juju(handy perk, string of curses to charge your super quick) -zhalo supercell (bolts from the blue charge your super with double kills) -Monte carlo ( monte carlo method, charges melee with damage you make and a chamhe to recharge your melee charge with each kill) The PERFECT stormcaller build in my opinion......

Claws pvp impossible pve

I use the claws so I can take full advantage of the awesome melee range. It's tough deciding them over the impossible machines but my reasoning is that I'll use my melee charges more than I'll use landfall in a typical 6v6 game mode. I also use a shotgun so it's important that I have my melee charged as often as possible.

Ram with Int/Str and Arc Armor chestpiece. Impossible Machines are okay I guess. Voidfang if I'm playing 6v6 and I want transcendence. Claws of Ahamkara's second melee charges too slow for my taste.

1 ReplyI use apthothesis viel helm(spelling?),once and a while.
-
Impossible machines with a discipline/strength build. Impossible machines for the free landfall and disc/str for faster nades and melees been thinking about running claws instead but I rarely find myself face to face with people because I like to run scout and sniper just for fun
-
I use alchemist's raiment
-
2 RepliesBeen rolling Claws of ahamkara and will probably never change as I see more of a benefit to having multiple melee's throughout the match as opposed to having free landfall once or twice. I just changed to landfall on the skill tree to make up for it. I use strength discipline though so depending if you are more built around the super then consider the machines. The ram is quite good, however I thought it applied life steal to stormcaller melee at first (it doesn't) as far as i can tell. It helps but not nearly as much as the claws. That being said I have been trying to get a +arc armor chest and that is a chore, but found the fwc robes apply that defense. Any info on how well that +arc armor subclass works?

For an average+ players max intellect max strength with voidfang , as for noobs I don't think it matters what they use the amount of stormcallers I see that fail on supersccose they that bad can't even use iconic blink which is a must have on stormcaller
-
I say Claws as well. With two melee and perp charge, in PvE, I can throw a nade, melee twice and by the end still end up with full nade and melee. I run a 0-5-5 ATM, it also about feeding into my super with armor perks.

3 RepliesEdited by NegativeCycle: 7/6/2016 12:36:19 AMClaws with a 5-1-5 or if your gear is good a 5-2-5 set up. The melee range on amplitude is amazing and much further than shotgun range and with claws you get 2 of them on a 25 second cool down. The grenades are clearly the weakest point of stormcallers so you shouldn't really gear for it in pvp. Melee and super is what you want.

1 ReplyClaws of Ahamkara for maximum Thunderstrike abuse.
-
1 ReplyElectrostatic mind is bugged, lowering your intellect to tier 1, so use arc web, I recommend arc bolts as they go very well with arc web, and a 5-1-5 build is what I use, with claws of ahamkara
