Turning Old Raids into...
Idk I really miss the old raids, just thinking out-loud here. I don't really know about the taken strikes lol, I just put that as an answer. Maybe they'll introduce 6-man strikes?
Maybe the gear could be Taken..........
Or why not flat out bring Aetheon to the Court of Oryx? I mean Crota's there...
Edit 1: Feedback is for this idea is torn half and half. There was a comment that mentioned having a week (like iron banner) for old raids. All the gear and weapons would be brought up to regular light level only for that week only. I think it's a pretty neat idea!
Edit 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it! The Taken are annoying as hell. I couldn't agree more! Well, how about we as players tell Bungie to bring them back! Complain! Complain more! More complaining! The more Bungie sees this, the more probable it is for them see how frustrated and annoyed their players are.

Don't care so much about the gear any more as I used it so much in year one. I would like to see them turn the old raids into over powered levels just for the challenge. We all know these raids back to front, be great to experience them on ultra hard levels. May be shaders or emblems could be the reward, so there not really changing the current game not adding in complications just simply giving us some end game content till the expansion drops. But some new trophies achievements in for beating on op levels or doing activities in a certain time limit. May be even add a challenge mode in. I would be happy with that.

1 ReplyBring old raids up to date with a 3rd difficulty and 335 drops. Not taken though please. The other two raids are about Vex and Hive only.

I prefer new content, if anything i would want VoG and crotas end to become monthly events. Like once a month VoG or CE comes back for a week. During that week you get rewards for every run though you do. When you rank up this faction or whatever it can reward you with visual rewards (sparrows, ships etc....) That leaves the gear for the raid. They can add a Y2 tag to the gear and also make a new set that looks different. 2 VoG sets, one for each year but can both be at max light level. This goes for CE as well.

1 ReplyYou have a mimic Crota. It's not quite Crota. Very similar, but lacks the rotation and the oversoul. Atheon is Vex. He isn't hive, nor taken. And he's dead. Very dead. Like Crota. Who is also dead. We can't mimic Atheon's mechanics because there isn't the space for teleportation, no aegis shield to pull out of the VoG either. It'd be better to breathe life into the old raids more frequently than to extrapolate the boss and reuse him a little.

2 RepliesI like the idea of raid weeks. Like Iron Banner, once a month we have a week where an old raid is brought to year two and we play it for a week with relevant gear to our light levels. It can witch between Crota, Atheon, and Skolas. And once we move on from Oryx that one could be added to the list. That way it's still relevant while not overloading casual players with a ridiculous amount of stuff to do per week.
