335 W/ No Raids, TOO, Nightfall or POE 42
Yes it can be done. With some hard work, grinding and luck. I have never raided, done The Trials Of Osiris, or The Prison of Elders Level 42. Nor will I until they get matchmaking. I reached 335 by doing Heroic Strikes, The Court of Oryx and a lot of Iron Banner (and all solo). I post this today to give hope to those out there that don't want to humble themselves at LFG or don't have a lot of friends standing by to team up with.
Edit: You can also get some great drops if you use the TOC on patrol missions in the Cosmodrome. I have been bagging exotics on the Blight Mission, The Troll Patrol and any of the Taken Champions that pop up there (and on other planets).

1 ReplyFWIW - I was a lone wolf for much of the Crota days. I did my very first VoG raid right after HoW came out. Was still pretty shy about LFG'ing and so I never got my "Acheivements" in year one. All of my friends now on my friends list came from LFG'ing. I now have a list full of people for nearly any activity. I even met some serious PVP'ers that carried my scrub azz to the lighthouse. yes. LFG absolutely sucks ballsak sometimes. ...but in the end it's wroth it to get a greater variety of gear, and to make friends. If I had not made friends and taken the leap into the bigger gaming community as a whole I would probably have given up on this game long ago. It's my friends and our shared experiences that keeps me coming back. OP - no way is any of this an insult or attack. 335 solo is definitely an accomplishment. one that I am not trying to diminish. I just want to point out that LFG'ing isn't so bad. (ok, it CAN be really bad, but sometimes it's not, and sometimes it's really rewarding)

Same boat! Except I do 42 COE with LFG w/no mics. :( Just can't seem to get any Antiquated Runes... And Saber/Darkblade/Malok haven't been kind with their helm drops...

I'm with you on the Raid part. Communicating with 5 randoms is by no means something that this introvert would categorize as "fun." But no reason you can't do Nightfalls or CoE 42. I post a standard message in the recruitment section all the time and get plenty of like minded folks: "334-335 (class) looking for 2 to run CoE42/NF. No mic required." Works like a charm, every time.

Congrats! I bet that was quite a challenge as I've done all of those things you mention and still haven't reached 335. You really are missing out on some of the most fun content though by refusing to do those things. Even running ToO is a blast if you go into it looking for a good time and not drive yourself mad in an attempt to go flawless.
