335 W/ No Raids, TOO, Nightfall or POE 42
Yes it can be done. With some hard work, grinding and luck. I have never raided, done The Trials Of Osiris, or The Prison of Elders Level 42. Nor will I until they get matchmaking. I reached 335 by doing Heroic Strikes, The Court of Oryx and a lot of Iron Banner (and all solo). I post this today to give hope to those out there that don't want to humble themselves at LFG or don't have a lot of friends standing by to team up with.
Edit: You can also get some great drops if you use the TOC on patrol missions in the Cosmodrome. I have been bagging exotics on the Blight Mission, The Troll Patrol and any of the Taken Champions that pop up there (and on other planets).

You can easily solo nightfalls, look at this week's for example. I play 42 poc but not since I hit 333 to be able to get 335 drops. IB is what bumped me up, went from 327 to 333 over the weekend from it getting a 335 ghost, bond, boots and heavy, unfortunately I wasn't able to get a 335 primary (334) oh well. I will hit 334 as soon as I do the court. I'm not a fan of raiding, never had luck the few times I tried, nobody listened to the dude explaining and wiped over and over and over and over....not fun.

Hello. I myself got to 332 without a single raid game. I started less than a month ago. I have few friends helping me. The update really hooked me up.

Nice dude. I can see skipping LFG for raid and trials, but you should consider LFG for level 42 prison. It is easy, probably easier than level 41, fast, and most people don't even use mics.

1 ReplyDude you are definitely limiting content to yourself. Raids are a lot of fun. The Destiny companion app is a great tool to find a raid team. Most people are pretty cool, if you explain you haven't done a raid before, most will have patience as long as you listen. Congrats on 335 but I highly recommend doing raids, is what separates this game from others.

Honestly that's cool and all, but you just cut out some of the best parts of the game that you paid for. The companion app makes it crazy easy to find people to run with, and most people you meet will be really nice.

333 bordering 334 right now by doing very similar, if IB had dropped a 335 shell I think I would hit 335 this week through exotics and strike grinds alone, alas Lord Saladin was being a bitch. That being said did do some fireteams for IB which was way more fun and will probably do some for CoE to see if I can get some of the funky Chroma weapons. Even IB losses were not too bad as the rewards were stil good, rage and annoyance are down dramatically since the update.

All good, but PoE 42 is the most fun I've had in the game in months, plus the weekly bounty completion weapons and armour are often excellent. Please play. What console are you on?

And this is EXACTLY what some people should get out of this game... Fun! I hit 335 on my Warlock, 334 on my Titan pretty quickly. No Raids but a lot of CoE. King's Fall is tedious. The couple of times I've run it... It's just not as fun as VoG or even Crota. Don't listen to some of this toxic community. Keep doing what you find fun. That's the beauty of this game. So many ways to Be Legend.
