I miss... (For Vanilla Destiny players)
Every Tuesday, refresh day.... New nightfall, and you get the blue glow around your head...
& then you go to the tower and show it off.

1 ReplyI miss grinding for two hours in patrol to get enough materials to upgrade one legendary weapon or piece of armor. I miss sitting for three hours on top of one spot overlooking a cave. Getting legendary engrams that became rare items. I miss being the only sniper on the team, while everyone spammed shotguns. I miss dying by two hand cannons a million times over. I miss scout rifles being miss placed and useless in the crucible. I miss unplugging the Internet cord on Crota. I miss pushing Atheon and the Templar off the edge. I miss kicking people from my fireteams for not having a gjallarhorn I miss everyone all orgasming over one hand cannon in the vault of glass, and one exotic rocket launcher [spoiler]be honest, year 1 was not so glamorous and holy as everyone makes it. The game would've died much sooner had we kept the bullshit system. [/spoiler].

Biggest thing I miss is the old raids. I remember being a fireteam of level 25, 26, 26's doing a level 30 raid and it was so challenging. Now days, the only reason I die in raids is other people, not the raid itself.. I miss you vog :(

Ummmm..... being excited to see an Exotic drop. Sure they're good now, but in Vanilla it was like catching a leprechaun.

I miss the year 1 strikes, yeah the Archon Priest strike inclusion in year 2 is nice, but including all of the strikes would be better.

Yeah Y1 was the best. Especially that first month before people really started to separate themselves. People always offering to help other players, even randy's. It used to be fun/hilarious to see other people out in patrol doing goofy stuff, but now its a minor annoyance. I remember doing like 15-20 nightfalls a week, not because I needed more than 3, but because people were always asking, and I couldn't say no. It wasn't a big deal when you could knock out a nightfall in 10-15 minutes with the appropriate burn if nobody screwed up. Now, it takes 20-30 minutes to do the nightfall, and its not any harder or more fun, its just that the enemies are stupid bullet sponges and we don't have great ways to consistently crack shields (no elemental primaries). Y1 was really special. They've done a lot with this latest update to make the fun again, but they need to take the good things about Y1 and bring them back.
