So I played the division on the release. It was the first game of this shooter mmo style and the division really turned me off. Hesitantly I bought Destiny for the first time ever yesterday when a friend convinced me to. Was I shocked, not only did the game "feel" better but, the very first strike was such a great and challenging experince(way better than an "incursion". Even the members of the community sent me messages on xbox welcoming me to Destiny, I was surprised. The little content I completed in 2 hours on destiny was truly more enjoyable and more mechanics than any game I've recently played.

Strikes are also my favorite. I sometimes get that rush to go straight ahead without thinking to just wipe out as many enemies as I can. Which is why I die in 99 percent of my Strikes too.

Edited by Dax: 4/19/2016 3:38:20 PMHello, haven't had the pleasure to meet you yet, hope to see ya around the tower/reef, I'll give ya a wave if I see ya! Enjoy your time, but beware of the toxic people on these forums. Edit: Spelling correction.

welcome. the game is a blast the first time around, especially the strikes and raids. you get a real sense of accomplishment the first time you beat one and when you score some great gear out of it too. finish out all the story missions and strikes, then when all that is done try jumping into a raid with a team willing to walk a new player through it.

Thumbs Up! Starting in the forums early is a good move. Lots can be learned from here.

Edited by Cromica: 4/19/2016 7:21:29 PMGame is extremely fun when you first start. You're lucky you got in now and not back at release.

Welcome aboard. Destiny is, aside from Skyrim, my very favorite game. I started last March, and I've put in like 2000 hours (ironically, I moved from Destiny to The Division to get a breath of fresh air). It's a great game, even with its flaws.

Edited by EpicGameTime12: 4/19/2016 4:19:36 PMWelcome guardian! I've had this game for 2 years now and it's immensely fun! I hope you'll have as much joy as I did!
Also, MAKE A TITAN!
Welcome guardian

Welcome. And yeah, not a lot of games out there like this one when it comes to how it feels. That's probably the biggest thing about it. Guns feel like they are completely different and its all about which you prefer by playstyle. I personally love this game and the lore around it. If you get a chance, my biggest tip would be to look up the lore on YouTube via DBMGamer. Preferably the thorn series and the khabr/vault of glass series. Well worth it and fleshes out the world of destiny a bit.

1 ReplyGlad you like it! Been playing this almost since release myself. Don't let these forum trolls get ya down either. They like to moan and grown like and cat in heat, but they still dedicate 100s of hours into Destiny ;)
-
5 RepliesCareful. If you say you like the game people here will call you desticle and fanboy. Even though it really is a great game.
-
Oh god the time for you to lvl up begins. Lol took me forever when I deleted my character
-
2 RepliesAwesome to hear you're enjoying destiny so much! The online community is pretty toxic, but you'll find that most people actually playing the game will be very friendly to you. Have fun!

Edited by MindfulPizza: 4/19/2016 3:55:45 PMwait till you get to end game and then got serf the websites for the invites , then you will be like wtf , Then ask why division and every mmo on the planet now allows it not some 3rd party apps to invite players. you thought division rogues can be asshole wait till try find people that are doing endgame randoms on the game forums . be like wtf . there all kids. left . At least on division most the players are over 25yrs+ . Those of us with the money. even now i know many not allowing there kids buy stuff from destiny, since bungie felt men and women could not do there endgame in PUG groups.

Lol @ mmo...

2 RepliesWhy would u lie on the internets?

1 ReplyJust wait till you start playing raids the game sucks until you start doing raids, poe, and trials. If you think the game is awesome right now youll have a crazy addiction to it once you hit 40. Destiny hAs remained my favorite game for over a year now

And it was at this moment, that the little desticle knew, it was fucked

I'm with you bro. I only bought Destiny couple weeks after it was released so I could practice double jumps and such whilst waiting for the release on my beloved call of duty to be released and haven't left since. COD sucks balls now too which always helps.

Wish you bought it when HoW
