You realize that there are a ton of Machine Guns that work wonders in the raid, right? Like, every other machine gun in the Low RoF/High Impact archetype which all have larger magazines, higher stability, and more range than QT.
People bitch about the sniper nerf like it matters. There are plenty of other weapons out there that would work for the encounters. Just use them already.

What MG has a larger mag than Terminus (in its archetype) with extended mag? I literally can't think of any. Not saying I think the sniper ammo nerf will be that big of a deal, I'm just curious.

After this patch, all of the following machine guns (in this archetype) will have a bigger magazine size before factoring extended Mag: Baron's Ambition, Ruin Wake, Thunderlord, Bertomart's Stand, The Unseeing Eye, Objection IV. This list does not include returning Y1 legendary machine guns since there is no formal list of them at this time.

I still think qullim's will be the most used mg during the raid and PvE though because of cocoon. They didn't even reduce the magazine size either, the reduced its inventory by 15 so you can't have as many in reserve I think. Or is base inventory referring to magazine size? I think this nerf was specifically to reduce its usage in PvP anyways. Thanks for the response though. I'm hoping I can get a me a good roll on a year 1 mg for PvP.

I stand Corrected in Baron's Ambition. As for QT, after reading the patch notes, my take away was that the weapon has its magazine size reduced by 15. It also got affected by the global machine gun reserve nerf, so it got hit twice. This would mean the base magazine size was cut back to 20. If I am misinformed, please let me know.
