It Is Time For You To See...That Division Sucks
Ok everyone. Now that we've played Division for a few weeks it's time we agreed on something.
It sucks.
Destiny is and will always be far superior to The Division for so many reasons. I'm not going to review the games here. Just the facts.
Destiny is better. By a lot.
Oh man, this thread is already interesting and it's been like 30 minutes. I love you all.
For those who are craving real facts, read this.
It took me a year and a half to become bored with Destiny and that's only because Bungie can't seem to competently manage their game. Hopefully that changes. It took me 2.5 weeks to become bored with the Division. 2.5 weeks and I'm level 30/52, have all high end 31 stuff, have completed challenge story every day... I'm bored. Fact.

21 RepliesI'd rather do challenge for a guaranteed high end rather than nightfall for a ghost shell. I'd rather play in the dark zone and actually accomplish something rather than play the same broken crucible over and over. I'd rather do side missions and wing upgrades rather than quests and bounties. I'd rather be at base of operations and not the tower. I'd rather restock than pop a synth. I'd rather craft than cryptarch. I'd rather recalibrate than reforge. I'd rather roam free in 30 blocks of NY, than go in circles on one of the "not as big as you think" planets to explore. I'd rather get loot, and not the chance for loot. I'd rather in game matchmake...... I'd rather have updates already mapped out, ahead of time. I'd rather look how I want and still have the exact same stats and perks, rather than wear ugly gear because it has high light levels. I'd rather watch, than ghost. I'd rather Midas, than MIDA I'd rather bullet king, than taken king. My point is, destiny was and still can be fun, but only to a certain extent. No guaranteed PVP rewards, besides ToO or IB, but even then there's no guarantee. The entire PVE play lists are garbage and the consumable system is a joke. Glimmer cap is a joke. Legendary marks are a joke. Division may not be the destiny killer, but by God if it's not doing a much better job of keeping me happy and content.

You can't compare them because, in the simplest way, Destiny is an FPS and The Division is an RPG. Second, if it's been 2.5 weeks and you're already maxed out and now you're bored, that's not because The Division is a bad game. It's because you rushed through the game and didn't chill out and enjoy it. That's your problem, not Massive's. Maybe The Division isn't the kind of game you enjoy playing. And that's all good. But just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't good. It's a great game. But just like every other title on every system ever made, not every game is for every player. Enjoy Destiny. I still do from time to time. But I'm having more fun with The Division. For now. I think Destiny has more potential. I'm just waiting for Bungie to pull their head out of their ass.

3 RepliesI've formed my opinion, and because it's mine it must be right! I'm glad you've decided to pony up to a single game as opposed to enjoying multiple. It shows your general mindset. I, on the other hand, enjoy them both and will continue to play both. Your title should read. It's time that everyone sees that The Division is different than Destiny, and variety is the spice of life.

I've had more fun doing the daily missions and challenge than I've had in Destiny in a long time. Love the Division. You're addicted to Destiny and it's a common issue with its players. You guys need to move on to something else for a while. Don't be afraid of Bungie

Hard to compare when much of the endgame has yet to be released in the division. Anywho, Ubisoft seems to be managing the Division better than Activision is managing Destiny...

2 RepliesYear and a half to get bored of Destiny. You know why? Because the whole game is based around a RNG system that artificially inflates your playing time. You can play 2.5 weeks straight of Destiny and still not progress higher.

Can't wait to get Dark Souls 3 and finish everything in the game. I'm a gamer who enjoys many games.

7 RepliesI see a lot of opinion, a lot of loud, biased opinion without facts. No one is without bias, we are human, but facts are needed to support your claim. Saying that something is a fact without supporting evidence is like throwing in random statistics. Both can be easily molded into whatever makes your statement look good without actually making a point. Saying your bored is a statement. You never actually said why. You never gave real causes or potential solutions to your problem. You never gave a fact that goes beyond a personal statement. This is only for personal attention and to start a flame war. As a unit of war, I will not fight without a cause. If there is no cause, there is no goal. If there is no goal, there is no war. Wanting attention is not war, it's wanting attention. Even if it's for the face that launched a thousand ships, there must be a cause, there must be a goal. There must be facts to support an opinion.
