Sorry for the rage before about the warlocks.. yes I'm not a good pvp player..
So I change into this instead, does any of you have any tips on how to become better and counter a warlock?
Hunter Bladedancer

If you're a BD, try to catch them off-guard. Although, you have to be careful about Voidwalker nova bombs. They will blast you away quick! On the other hand, you may be able to counter a Stormcaller if you can get close enough, and Sunsinger... well... just hope for the best.
-
Here's a tip: stop. Warlocks are all powerful, you better git gud reeeeeal quick cus if not you're going to hate pvp. Then you'll live a life of prejudice against warlocks and we'll be forced to exterminate you.

11 RepliesA Hunter, Titan, and Warlock are sitting at a table. The Titan, a Sunbreaker, is seriously wounded, and has a broken arm and leg. The Warlock, a Stormcaller, is in perfect health, and is sitting as calm as can be. The Hunter is pacing around the table, thinking deeply about what should be nerfed next. Hunter: Let's see, I just got killed by a sniper... he must have been relying on that aim assist crutch! NERF SNIPER AIM ASSIST BUNGIE, OMFG!!!! Warlock: Oh, will you just shut it already! Look at poor Jim over here. Points at Titan. He can barely move from what your constant bickering did to him. Titan: Need... super... energy... Hunter: Don't even bother, Jim. Now you know how us Hunters, the master race, felt when you b*tched and complained about Bladedancers for a whole year. Titan: Please... no more... nerfs... Warlock: Okay, maybe the Sunbreaker was a little OP, but that doesn't mean every other piece of equipment in the damn game needs to be nerfed along with it! Hunter: Oh crap! Bungie is about to buff auto rifles by... 7%! Oh no, that can't happen. grabs phone. Warlock: What the hell are you doing? Hunter: Hey, Xur! I have a job for you. Xur: It is my will to speak to you. Hunter: You know that 7% buff to medium RoF Auto Rifles due this Tuesday? Xur: I think the cells of this body are dying... Hunter: Move the decimal point to the left a bit! Xur: My will is not my own... Hunter: hangs up. Weird guy... well, I just prevented a possible OP weapon buff. What's next? Let's see, I forgot to mention something... was it handcannons? No, they got nerfed ages ago... Ah, yes, Stormcaller!! Warlock: What the hell!? I'm perfectly balanced!!! Hunter: THAT GUY JUST KILLED ME FROM WAY TOO FAR AWAY!!! IT'S SO OP!!! Warlock: I'm not overpowered, what the hell is wrong with you? Hunter: ANOTHER ONE JUST KILLED ME! WHY IS IT SO OP!!! Warlock: Shut up! Please stop, Bungie might hear you! Hunter: pulls out megaphone. STORMTRANCE IS WAY TOO OVERPOWERED. PLEASE NERF THEM BUNGIE, NERF THEM!!! The Titan, unnoticed to this point, suddenly turns from bright orange to light blue. His broken limbs heal themselves, and he stands up vigorously. Hunter: Jim, did you just switch subcla- drops megaphone. OH SH*T!! The Titan shoulder-charges the Hunter, sending him flying into the wall. Titan: YOU... WILL NOT... NERF... MY FRIEND!! The Titan activates his Fist of Havoc, demolishing the Hunter, and the entire wall behind him. Warlock: Why... why did you do that? Titan: You don't know the pain I've been through these past few days. I - I don't want you to share the same fate. The Hunter respawns next to the Titan. Hunter: What the hell jus- wait, that was a Fist of Panic!!!! BUNGIE, NERF THE STRIKER! Warlock: Their super wasn't even buffed, dipsh*t. Hunter: I don't care!! THEY'RE SO OP!!! Titan: What if everything you ever wanted... Warlock & Hunter: ????? Titan: WAS TO KICK SHIT IN THE FACE!? FOREVER! Warlock: What in the hell are you talking about? Titan: THEN YOU NEED PEREGRINE GREAVES!!! Titan jumps in the air, then rams his knee into the Hunter's face. Warlock: Why does he always brag about those damn things? All credit goes to Deron43 and barefacedgul42 for this beautiful piece of art. I'm just here to spread the joy

1 ReplyI recomend reading my post,m it's titled " a tip to the players asking for nerfs" It's currently the top trending post atm, you may find some helpful I formation in it. You're welcome. :)

Gotta play more buddy. You have newer accounts and even if someone told you all you need to know doing it is different. I can tell you that hunters counter me more than anyone including my own class. Your biggest challenge is likely titans. They are not as dependent on perks like burn or shield. Best advice I will give without selling the farm is the following: When close don't waste time just go for the kill. When far don't approach us like you would anyone else. Slow play us or dance around.

Git gud?
I enjoy how people make these kind of posts about Warlocks since Sunbreaker got nerfed. It's as though people go to Crucible and get obliterated by another subclass, then come here to bitch. If Warlocks are so easy to use, lets go ahead and give OG Bladedancer back to the community, or how about OG Sunbreaker? You wouldn't be hearing shit about Warlocks if those two were back in their prime, because Warlocks wouldn't be able to compete. I'm not going to say that you don't have a right to communicate your opinion, sure that's fine and dandy. But do some research before you get your panties in a twist. The supers alone that I mentioned were MUCH worse than any Warlock subclass now, mainly because they were broken as shit and were the true easy mode. Warlocks have been the exact same since day one, nothing has changed except the things around them. Call nerfs on something that deserves it, or better yet, call for buffs instead. Now that my little rant is over, I'm gonna leave these here. -Titans have fusion and magnetic grenades. -Hunters have arcbolt and flux grenades. -Hunters also have Blink. -Res-sniping exists. -Throwing knives can be just as effective as both a firebolt grenade and a VERY ranged melee if used right. -You can have two knives without sacrificing the burning effect of either, or having to equip an exotic to bypass that. -Shoulder Charge (if combined with the ever so popular Peregrine Greaves) can one-shot a roaming Super. It can also normally one shot every guardian. And you can get health back via Transfusion, if I'm not mistaken. -You can kill a Stormtrance user with shotgun-melee, sniper headshot, or a super. (Fist of Havoc and Golden Gun are the most notable.)
Learn a thing or two before you make a shit thread m8.

Git gud scrub LOL

Has only a Hunter and a shit KDR, yet complains.. ugh.. this is what gives you guys a bad name. Learn to counter. Watch videos. Practice! I used to suck at pvp, and now I have a decent KDR of 1.6 and hopefully it keeps rising. Learn to play before you complain about anything please.
-
When you kill one.. And you know the rounds are late.. Hold your sniper 2inches above the center of its ghost orb.. If it self rez you get a free headshot and instant kill :)
-
Usually if you blink while getting burned it slows it down and sometimes stops it. Idk if they got rid of this but it worked for me
-
3 RepliesHuh, hunters don't stand a chance? I'm a hunter main, and I never noticed... Leave Warlocks alone. Leave Titans alone. Change your own tactics.
-
When facing a warlock, my advice to everyone is always have an escape route where you are going to fight. If you are drawn somewhere you are uncomfortable with, back off.
-
3 RepliesOn be half of all hunters, I would like to apologize for this extremists actions. Interns like him have been locked up in the looney bin for years, but has escaped confinement a couple months ago. I you find more renegade hunters like these please inform me and I will take care of the situation.
-
I'm not one for fancy speeches so if you see em, shoot em.
-
Keep the warlocks out of grenade range.
-
1 Reply.......no comment is needed. And to the bladedancer. Here are steps to succeed 1.put on blink 2.use a shotgun 3. Profit
-
Nightstalker -Use three arrows option for the super -Use the tracker option so you run faster and lock on people. So when they pop out their head out of the wall. You shoot them first. -Use a scout riffle. So you kill faster. People like mida but if you wanna try something else try the "last extremity" it is a long range weapon. -don't get close to the Titans or warlock because one punche from them is enough to kill you. -and know your map. Sometimes people are using the same pattern every time.
-
Shadestep hunters with shotguns, f*** off.
-
Trials last night was ridiculous lol. We ran into a team of 3 self Rez warlocks. We ended up winning 5-4 and had to get 37 freaking kills to win. It was insane, fun, and frustrating at the same time. Just learn how to Rez snipe and you will should do okay.
-
I main a warlock and dont do pvp much but when i have i find im just as easy bait as any other class. I dont use sunsinger in pvp though. But its choice at the end of the day. I have an hunter and titan both at decent levels. WARLOCKS RULE...LOL..
-
2 RepliesAs a hunter I feel you on warlocks being the most challenging to fight against. However warlocks are the easiest class to play as because of how op they are, especially considering they are the only class that hasn't seen a significant nerf. My point is whenever I take down a warlock it is that much more satisfying knowing I won against someone who needed a crutch. If your stats are good and all you play is a hunter then that's something to be proud of in itself. That's why I enjoy the hunter the most.

To counter a Warlock, from an average PvP Warlock Main: Don't rush headlong into a melee battle. As it stands now, we'll whoop your ass regardless of what subclass we got since we have range. Try coming from behind or coming at us if we're weak (still beware us Sunsingers, Flame Shield will allow us to take an extra hit). Don't assume cover will keep you protected. Firebolt, Arcbolt, and Axion only require us to toss near you. Be prepared to back off if needed and try to keep something between you and where a grenade can hit (like a wall or a teamate). If you're burning and fairly certain you're going to die, don't just run or sit in a corner and accept your fate. Screw your k/d, get your ass out and come at us. If you're going to die anyways, you may as well try to bring us with you or assist a teamate in doing so. Radiance and Stormtrance gain no bonus armor (unless we spec Sunsinger for it). Shotguns and headshots work wonders here. Don't bunch up, and again only attempt a melee from behind/side. Headlong on a Sunsinger is almost always death since we have a OHK melee. Same with Stormcallers. Dodging a Voidwalker Nova Bomb is a little easier - just move to the side very quickly (unless you see it shatter into three, then go backwards). Don't turn your back on a Warlock's Ghost until it disappears. And if you hear the Radiance activate, you got a good few seconds to start hitting us with all you got - we don't get radar upon self rezzing until the animation is done, so you can attack us from back/behind and it'll take us a few seconds to orient ourselves. Everyone is different, remember that. Good luck.
-
Avoid grenades. I'm not sure if this still works but sitting down while being chased by axiom bolts makes them freak out and spin around you but never hit you. Hide when hit by a grenade. If a Sunsinger warlock is chasing you while you are ready to melee him, it's too late to fight back (unless you have ACD Feedback Fence for Titans)

Edited by DamonLee8: 2/14/2016 10:37:16 PMJust stay away from their op grenades

Do not try and blade dance us. Do not try and melee us. We like our space. Do not try and rush in half cocked. We will turn your cock right around. I shall not share our weaknesses and vulnerabilities, save this:
we have none
