So, Another Week.....
...... And yet another predominantly PvP based update!
Match Making Fixes.... Connection Fixes.... Special Ammo Fixes... Freelance Playlists.... PvP! PvP!!! PvP!!!!!
What's that I hear you say? For the first time in Weeks their was talk about PvE?!?! Yes.... Yes there was! A small paragraph about a fix to a problem that has been an issue since mid December. Other than that..... No news on new quests!!!!! No Talk of any sort of PvE event! (Yet we've had multiple PvP ones!!!) No Upgrade to Patrol!!! No New strikes!!! No New Raid!!! NOTHING!!!!!!
And yet people at Bungie wonder why so many people are bored of their game....????
Let me break it down for you.... The entirety of your "End Game" PvE content, at present, is ONE Raid!!!
The Nightfall Rewards are crap, and it can't even be classed as End Game anymore as drops are capped at 310, which getting is a rarity in itself! Strikes are repetitive, and Patrol is dull! And RNG, across the board, is broken!!!! In Truth, There is absolutely no diversity to the PvE side of things what so ever!
And I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that PvP was not the reason I bought this game, no! I bought the game on the promise of a massive, diverse, open world shooter that was engaging, as well as entertaining with a great story....
What happened to that????

Edit - Just to clarify, I'm under no illusion that it doesn't take time to create new content for PvE, however it is verging on 6 months since TTK dropped and there has not been a slight utterance of what's to come, which is why so many people are disheartened by the situation

From weekly update 12/10/2015: "The first of these early 2016 experiences will be on a scale close to Festival of the Lost. The second will be far larger than anything you’ve seen since the release of The Taken King. There’s also another significant update to the world and sandbox planned in this same window." Should've seen this coming. News for PvE will be here soon, but don't get hopes up for anything major or groundbreaking. Likely just a way to set up entering into Destiny 2 (new patrol events, more y1 content, etc.). Hang in there lil' buddy.

1 ReplyThis game is dead. Period. Bungie knows that and majority of playerbase is starting to be aware of it. I highly doubt that Bungie would put any more money to make past raids and other stuff relevent again. Reason they abandoned them was money in the first place. If they would have made, lets say VoG woth playing by updating its loot, many people would not have bought next dlc. It was calculated. It was an average run and now its over...

5 RepliesBump. For whatever reason i still do bounties but that's where it ends. Since TTK and the new leveling system it really put me off to raiding. I used to raid multiple times a week, do NF, do the weekly and even PoE for the etheric light.

1 Replymore like for 1st time they've mentioned PvE in months. they've been pushing PvP harder and harder since HoW (honestly probably more like TDB but i can't remember it being almost overwhelmingly PvP focused), i was shocked when they released TTK and actually gave PvE players alot to do out of the gate. but then it was time gated exotic quests over half of which REQUIRED PvP and PvE events you've already probably done 20 times by then (because heaven forbid it be one OR the other), and then more PvP events, and then nothing after the raid besides "do it again but with a gimmick because why not" challenge modes, more PvP events, more PvP events, more PvP and so on and so on... i mean i love the PvE in destiny, despite the horrible RNG in the newer raid. heck i even like patrol, guess im just a boring person, but dear lord... you can only run the same things so much.

1 ReplyThere was nothing wrong with the update. You don't want all the things they are fixing? I was amazed at Bungie's efforts to actually fix the game. I don't think you realize how long it takes and how much work it takes to make new PvE content. The best they will do is update old content. I'm guessing we'll hear more about PvE after crimson doubles.

1 ReplyCant do everything at once. I'd love to see them make Year 1 raids and gear Y2 at least. Really simply put by many below, if you're bored go play something else *shrug* - destiny isnt the center of the universe....

1 ReplyIt's not like they're really adding anything new to pvp either, it's the same maps, same boring meta, they're just trying to fix all the broken crap in it. Honestly there is no really good reason to play it anymore, at least for me. And I'm on the boards to see if anything new happens, haven't logged on to play in a couple of weeks, I pretty much gave this game to my 11 year old.
