Never, ever claim to be Irish in Ireland. If you ask people did they know such and such ancestors family, you will get the piss taking out of you. There are ways to tell if someone is a tourist in Ireland. If you wear a green shirt with 'Ireland' written on it, an orange beard or wig then people truly will take the piss out of you.
