Don't bother playing iron banner unless you're in a team
It's b'shit. One sided f'ing b'shit.
I'm a solo player who gets dropped in on f'ing teams that are loosing EVERY f'ing time.
Shame on you Bungie. I'm slogging away trying to play ib to get the rewards and getting completely and utterly wiped. I confess I'm not a f'ing crucible diehard so clearly there is no room for me in ib.

It depends a lot on the team and the randoms Early yesterday I was playing solo and ran a few matches where there was a team of 5 (no other teams). The team if 5 lost more matches than they won Late yesterday my clan managed to get a team of 6. We won list matches and a couple even ended early because of the mercy rule. We were not invincible against randoms though and one group of randoms even mercy ruled us

2 RepliesMy experience with this IB, is that whoever controls the area where the spark spawns most likely will win the match. The more carries your team can make even though you don't ignite the rift. Has higher chance of winning. The spark area needs to rotate similar to salvage to prevent teams to camp or dominate the area.

I played solo from Wed. to this morning, even though I worked two days. I did get creamed by fireteams a few times, but now always. Two of my Guardians are already Rank 5, and I expect the third will quickly follow. It wasn't all wine and roses, I think mostly my W/L ratio was pretty poor. But I'm glad to have done this Iron Banner. I gained a better feel for playing Rift, and have gained confidence as a spark-carrier. Should Rift be granted a permanent place in the IB rotation? Given the general reaction to it, probably not. But it was an idea worth trying, and an experience that I enjoyed. I expect once my last Guardian is leveled, I might bring my Hunter back in for a few more games, see if I can get that fusion rifle.

I've played Tuesday, Thursday and Friday night and I'm halfway to rank 5. One of my first matches was against a full fire team. Game ended early with the mercy rule, the fire team got annihilated.

I win 80% of my solo games. Get good and learn how to be the runner and when to go grab it. One guy can influence the match

I Been soloing and through 15 games have only lost 3-4 times. Most of time I'm in top. Just max your agility and run behind your wall of blockers

Solo'd IB and hit rank 5 last night.

Haven't played a single match in a fireteam and easily beat the brakes of the other teams at least 50% of the time. IB rank 5 was a breeze and in one week drove my light score up 40 points playing IB only (I just started playing last month and started IB at 242). Just saying... If what you do playing solo didn't work you may need to check your strategy.

Been playing solo all week, have completed all gold bounties on two characters, rank 3 on both, just waiting for sunday/monday to redeem golds and hit 5

Had one on our side yesterday who basically won the match for us and we also lost against randoms with a well playing team of two on the other side. If you don't want to play alone with randoms take a few minutes on destinylfg ...

Meh I can rack up the medallions. It's not like you lose all the time solo. I'll even stay in losing and mercied matches because they go pretty fast. I end up in winning matches about every 5 or so anyway. If lucky, get a random team that can get consecutive wins.

3 RepliesNot true I've been solo all week and I am doing fine. Stop trying to talk people out of playing some of us are having a blast. If you aren't having fun and gave up don't make it everyone else's problem. Why do you quitters try to bring others down with you? Just don't play.

1 ReplyMy anger is not about the matchmaking, at least 7/10 games i won it without a fireteam, my anger is about the lag/glitch/bug/whatever in the matchs, one of my losing games were because my team couldn´t get the spark not because the other team were so hardcore because you hit the button to take it and nope nope spark even if the spark charge complete 3 times. Other game was because the incredible lag of the other team you saw lot of Piccolos copies everywhere and you "wtf man! take this" and you die from behind because Piccolo copy 5 was there. And the last thing is the RNG i won more items losing matchs than winning, in the ones i won i got: in 3 matches NOTHING, in 2 matches 2-3 motes, in another one 2 strange coins and a Heavy 262 and the last one i got a iron gauntlet 268, meanwhile in the ones i lose: one match some iron boots 30something, in another one 5 motes and a shotgun 298 and the last one i got a purple enagram, so losing is the best thing you can do after reaching lvl 5 in IB (if you can)
