This weapon type is not a weapon you can pick up and instantly be good with hence why everyone who is not familiar with them put them down instantly. No weapon type has been nerfed as many times as the fusion and the more they nerf them the harder they become to use.
Fusions by far are the most skilled weapon to use in this game i don't care what anyone says. Your timing must be right, your weapon position after firing has to be right. This most recent nerf has really hit fusions hard but they are still manageable.
These clips are 1v3 clutches from year one trials mostly and the clips of me with the Splitshifter Pro and Panta Rhei is year two.
Since the patch these are the stats i look for first:
1) Impact
2) Charge rate
3) Range
4) Stability (this is last on my list because if you use the "quick scoping" method i do in the vid you wont need it)
My current fusion: Panta Rhei (from the vendor)
If i can maintain a 1.72KD in trials with a fusion equipped 100% of the time so can the next person but only if your committed to using them. Ask away and i shall answer.
Edit: As promised i uploaded some Post patch gameplay from trials 1/15/2016

2 RepliesI love them, they really screwed with their performance with the patch but I've gotten used to them again and I'm sure I'm pissing people off wrecking them with an fr lol
-
2 RepliesSo from watching your clips, it looks like you charged in hip-fire, learned how long your fusion charges for, and ADS right before it fires, is that correct? How much do you have to pull down on the right stick to compensate for the recoil using that method? I've struggled with fusions since 2.1 came out, but maybe I was just used to really good stability fusions, and never tried enough to adjust my style.
-
1 ReplyFusions are good they just function different than they have before so a lot of people have my given them enough time to be good with them
-
1 ReplyIk I might get the fwc one
-
2 RepliesI got an epic darkblades spite may have slow charge but other stats make up for it.
-
1 ReplyI gotta say Plan c doesn't take much skill. I use it effectively all the time and I'm a total butterfinger's magilicutty
-
I went into the crucible with plan C and got a 3.43 kd the other night. It's a weapon class you have to commit to playing 5-10 matches with and you end up really understanding your weapon and by extension utterly wrecking with it. Gotta try the quickscope method you're doing
-
1 ReplyWait... Like crucible radio bones?
-
1 ReplyIts not the rifle you are a very skilled player your radar observation is insane i would like to see you with the chaperone lol
-
6 RepliesEdited by EnbyousNova: 1/15/2016 9:49:54 PMWhat's your take on plan C? I have a Thesan FR4 with range finder and hot swap and almost max stability. I honestly view the stability as being one of the MOST important stats because the tighter together I can keep the spread of the rifle, the better my odds of a 1 shot become, both Thesan and the Plan C are capable of 1 shots at medium range. Edit: Equipping the Thesan on my titan.
-
2 RepliesI love certain fusion rifles. But some are just so shitty that its impossible to use them
-
I just picked up the Pantai Rhei and liked it enough to start infusing it. It's only 290 right now, but I still dig it. I guess some just don't have the patience to use one.
-
2 RepliesDude try the thesian you would wreck even more
-
2 RepliesCould you check out the ones on my characters please? (One on each). Feedback on them would be highly appreciated.
-
2 Repliesfusion rifles are still great. Thesan, panta rhei, and plan c are my go to secondary
-
1 ReplyStop using em. I'd hit someone with a full body blast from the shit and they'd still have a sliver of health left, just enough to finish me off.
-
Got same panta rhei as you and its awesome!!

Edited by NVsnyper: 1/15/2016 4:12:47 PMI'm by no means MLG when it comes to PvP but this past IB I broke away from my shotty and stuck it out with a fusion - DO Hitchhiker... Loved it! I did get some hate for using it... Lol Edit: as stated below the darkblade is pretty good too!
-
1 ReplyLove fusions. Look for hip fire and good charge rate!
-
1 ReplySeriously, i can't understand why people keep telling that fusion rifles are sh!t in PvP. ALWAYS get one hit kill, but obviously i need to HIT the target in a close/medium range. If you anticipate the charge is possibily better than a shotgun.
-
5 RepliesGo get the darkblade fusion rifle.
-
Beast gameplay! I used to use fusions year one.. I had an awesone give take equation, havent really found one that I love year 2 , except maybe susanoo. I get yelled at for using in trials, lol.... but then again, I can't pull off those clutch triples like you can.
-
Edited by m00ninite: 1/15/2016 2:37:17 PMIs anything really better than Susanoo? I mean come on now. Stellar overall stats and yea 1 perk is a waste but Hot Swap is nice and the gun itself is just so balanced. Almost every other FR I find I feel like I have to make big sacrifices in stability or impact or whatever. You say you don't need stability but I'm just completely in disagreement after how my fusions perform since that last patch. Edit: watched more of your video, how do you feel about the Split Shifter I have on my warlock now? I thought fast charge rate FR's took a big hit recently
-
I use plan c, it's a -blam!-ing sniper sometimes
-
Bro. Just let them do their thing. Let the fusion rifle community have its fun without the metawhores swarming all over us looking for the new meta gun. If they want to run shotty, let 'em. If they want to keep using snipers until Bungie nerfs them into the ground, let 'em. Anyway, I predict everyone will switch over to fusions after the sniper nerf, so let us just have our fun without getting overwhelmed by metawhores for the time being.
