Probably because they're conservative. Conservatives typically think liberals, Democrats, socialists, etc., are imbeciles, so that rules out voting for either Clinton or Sanders or any other Democrat, for that matter. Conservatives are also pretty angry over the direction our country has been going, so what they're looking for is someone who is passionate, appears to be far right, not an establishment Republican, not politically correct, speaks their mind, is aggressive, dominant, and someone who energizes them and voices their anger and frustration. This rules out nearly every Republican candidate that stands a chance except guess who - Trump. On top of that, conservatives love the fact that liberals despise Trump, and the way they give him around-the-clock, free publicity is amazing. They also love the fact that any criticism of him or anything he says does absolutely nothing. He's still the frontrunner and no one can touch him. This continues to drive those that hate him nuts and continues to energize his supporters and even gain him new ones. I may have missed a few things, but that's the gist of it.

Not a whole lot of people know what is best for the country (I'm not saying I'm exempt from that at all. Im kinda talking out of my ass) People only really seem to feel politics rather than think it. Im sure there are a few that seriously consider votes, but elections are all about the face value. Its not about what they say, but how they say it.

This is why most of them vowed to block Obama, the elected official, to get anything done. Since then the media has been a shit stain of trying to attack Obama in any way.
