Take in mind I still respect anyone older than I am. But for some kids on games we get insulted, called fag, dumbasses, etc. And why should any kid respect an elder who constantly insults. Like earlier I was playing with another kid who was 11 and has a VERY squeaky voice. And as soon as he spoke he was insulted called a "DUMB MOTHERFUKING QUEER" and I just sat there and let them insult him. I kind of wish I would have kicked those guys and comforted the kid. But I didn't and the reason of the post is right back in here. Why should any kid respect an elder who constantly insults them? Post over.

There is an old saying that many people forget. Respect is earned. When I group with guardians I care about their ability not their age.
-
I brought in a 290+ and another guy into the raid. We kicked one because he wasn't good enough at Golgoroth, but we kept the other guy. He was 10 years old (roughly) but knew what he was doing. He was very talkative and left of his own accord, but I'd highly suggest giving younger Guardians a chance. They can be very helpful.

Edited by nicchae_KR: 12/24/2015 3:51:35 AMKids that I can actually raid with and feel comfortable doing it are a few and far between. Does that mean anything to you? But to insult upfront regardless of gender and age, those 'queers' will be kicked in a blink of an eye by my standard

3 RepliesNothing against squeakers but if I find a group of them on lfg I leave. Not because I think they shouldn't play the game, I just genuinely think that they are annoying and most of them have really bad humor.
-
Wait ... people still say faaaaag?
-
lol if I join a group of kids on lfg I leave instantly not because of there voices but because if they piss me off I cant say the really messed up things I would say to a adult that pisses me off. you get assholes as kids and adults, im just better at dealing with the adult ones lol
-
10 RepliesMy question is... Why are you playing a T rated game at 11? It sounds like the kid's parents are as much to blame as those guys. Maybe if the parents monitored his gameplay, it may have never happened. I'm not saying those guys were right for what they did, but the parents should be held accountable too.
-
The gaming community is full of assholes, I had to deal with it aswell. People are just too ignorant unfortunately.
-
You should focus on English class.
-
You can say all you want about being more mature and that he shouldnt be in the chat but the fact is you where in a group of assholes and I just leave groups like that I go in the game and raids to have fun work as a team talk, so next time just leave
-
Because those adults are greedy because they can't get a cheeseburger...
-
I completely agree I know a lot of kids in destiny and for any game for that matter can be annoying but before you insult someone younger than you for something that they did just remember you were probably the same way when you were a kid
-
5 Repliesit was likely 16 year old punks. NOT 40 year old grown ups with careers and wives. also what did said kid do to get called that. Most kids online at the very least talk WAY too much and ramble on about various inane subjects while in the middle of activities thus distracting everyone. finally if you are a kid, do your parents know you are on forums contacting adults and ALL CAPPING MAJOR CUSSWORDS? Because you obviously show a lack of maturity in your post and shouldnt be here without their permission. Fact.
-
3 RepliesIf someone gets insulted like that, stand up for them! You will never see those assholes again so kick them, leave, do whatever, and defend your friend. People like that don't deserve your respect and they don't deserve you
-
1 ReplyThe parents of said kid should block him from using chat. That's what I do for my son so he doesn't have to hear other people being rude.
-
4 RepliesI'm sorry when I join a game and it someone's voice sounds like someone rubbing their bare ass over a freshly cleaned bathtub I can't stand it.
-
2 RepliesLets be honest Every single one of us here is playing a T rated game and yet we all want to talk about being mature and shit like that. I would understand if it was rated M, I guess (Its still a game) but the point is we are all kids the only difference is some have deeper voices and some are a bit more mature. I for one have a rather deep voice and though i am usually mature about things, yes, im THAT guy that punches everyone in the face when im bored during a raid and they are explaining things because, iunno, its a video game? I will say however that my group does tolerate squeakers in regards to cousins and crap. Sure they are younger but as long as they shoot straight its fine. I think the heart of the problem is folks automatically believe the younger bunch are incompetent video game players because they are young so they don't want to deal with wiping over and over. Its a sad but "often correct" assumption as many younger ones have shorter tempers and attention spans. So in turn its easier to just avoid all of them because its not likely to come across a good, mature and young player. Shame really seeing as it's T for teen but thats how things are. Also what makes you more mature is standing up and doing what you believe in so if you do get a chance to stand up for a kid i for one will respect you more. Sorry for long post, more power to yah kid. TLDR; the minority of younger kids suffers from the majority if immature ones

Why does an 11 years old kid play an ego shooter? That's the real question.
-
EXPLOSIONS?!
-
I'll tell you, I'm 32 years old. I play with a 13 year old on destiny and his friends tag along. I have no problem with anyone of any age. It's an online game and It's supposed to be fun. They've carried me through crucible numerous times. I've seen these kids destroy other teams in crucible. Just hammer them. All I think, if these opponents knew it was a bunch of little kids killing them they'd never admit it happen.

1 ReplyEdited by Dr. Bruh, PhD: 12/24/2015 12:02:44 AMPro tip : have a deep voice and don't reference minecraft .
-
Did they just start insulting him right off the bat? If so that's unacceptable. I understand that some kids are annoying but some of them are pretty chill.
-
Edited by XiX_GhOsTx_XiX: 12/24/2015 12:08:07 AMThat would not have happened in a fireteam of mine, I would have kicked that person before they even finished their sentence. I can't stand blatant disrespect like that, it's uncalled for and as far as I'm concerned there isn't room in the gaming community for people like that. No one knows the life situation or emotional stability (especially the younger generation) of someone playing a game and there's no way in hell that I'm going to be involved in any way with someone being bullied.
-
Kid, those people acting like that are kids. And idiots...
-
3 RepliesIf your younger than 11 I would say at least try to act mature especially around adults I'm only 14 and have never gotten any complaints when playing with adults
-
That wouldn't of flown in my fireteam. Unacceptable and disrespectful.
