should destiny 2 be last gen compatible
im just wondering im on current gen ps4 i wonder who wants last gen to be left behind at ttk

Is say 2 years after new consoles release, old ones get left behind. 2 years is plenty to save 400 or 500 dollars.

I'm on 360 because I can't afford to upgrade yet, and I believe it should not be released for last gen. It does hold back the game making process, and limits what they can do.

It isn't even that, point to me a game that is actually worthy of being called Next-Gen? You could barely collect enough interesting titles, oh graphics oooh so next Gen. Crysis has the best graphics, yet the game is boring, it's had the best graphics and it has been a benchmark for PC's. If your pc could run crysis on Max settings and 60 fps, then you could play any game. I'm taking game play wise, games that do shit that need the power to do it. So many games are able to become ports because their graphics are the only amazing part to it, other than that the game play isn't ground breaking even the stories. To be honest, star wars battelfront is Next Gen, fallout 4 is Next Gen, Batman Arkham Knight is Next-Gen, assassins creed, and the division is next-gen. So many new games that actually push the envelope aren't out yet, and only a few are available and that isn't enough for me to want to buy a new console for a couple of games that I might want to play, I'm only buying Xbox one because Fallout 4 was announced. Yes I love Xbox One, get over it. When it comes down to it the casing is the only difference between the consoles, these wars ate imaginary and are only set by children, or man children. My friends are on Xbox one, and fallout 4 is going to treat Microsoft better with exclusivity to content, so it's a no brainer. More people will buy this Christmas, and more if they announce even more titles to indulge in, right now the actual market is dry.

21 RepliesI am on PS3 and personally I think this game should definitely be on last gen too. Sorry current gen, but even if we r holding this game back, maybe some people don't have the money to just go out and re-buy all the games that they enjoy playing on last gen. Trust me, I want a ps4 but I don't have the money to just go out and buy these games that I enjoy on PS3. Also, all my friends are on ps4 too. I feel like we should still be included in the epic game that is destiny.

It's not fair to last gen users if they were to make Destiny 2 for last gen because it would be half assed while the current gen would get all the benefit but still lack potential because they had to keep last gen in mind. Nobody wins if last gen is kept in the loop. For the greater good, its whats best for the franchise as a whole if they stick to just Current Gen from now on. This by no means relates to my favor for current gen vs old gen. But more so to see more out of what could be a great game.

3 RepliesNo. Destiny shouldn't have even been last gen compatible. I think it was included for the old systems to introduce the many people who hadn't made the leap into current gen yet to get hooked. Releasing Destiny 2 for only current gen will get those people on the fence to buy into the newer consoles. It will ultimately make for a better game that isn't held back by 10-year-old tech.

It's actually hilarious how people think that Bungie suddenly taking Destiny 1 off last gen would actually be a good move. Not only would it be financially damaging, but it wouldn't make people buy the new consoles, it would just make the majority of them not play.

Let last gen get support until destiny 2. Then realistically last gen should lose destiny, no matter what people say it is holding destiny as old hardware does over time.

Man, so many people here are elitist losers. Who knew? All "hurr last gen neds 2 die xD" n shit. But, as far as the actual game is concerned, they could probably do a fair bit more if they were next gen only. But keep in mind the hardware won't affect their enemy/boss design and their writing.

I'm on ps3 but I think it should only be on current gen. It holds the game back way too much , and I have a little over a year to save for a ps4 for Destiny
